I'm sure you'll agree that sometimes, these bikes are a love/hate relationship, but so worth the end results. Love seein how you work together! Keep er between the lines and the shiney side up.... :)

that s a pretty detailed video. good info . thanks btw , did anybody use the cable extenders from Harley ? doesn t seem like there s room for more plugs underneath that rubber protection. any thoughts? I m trying to put 12' apes on a 07 Fat boy but I rather get the prewired handle bars
@VPCustoms
@VPCustoms 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed! Prewired definitely makes the process much less time consuming, I went that route on my 2001 Nightrain. I think with some craftiness you could sneak in some more plugs under there. Good luck!

The wiring connectors have a barb that you’re collapsing, so when you re insert the wires into the connector, you might have to gently lift the lock back up from being collapsed or they won’t stay locked in to the connector.

Personally i think that's all these idiots do, sitting in mummy's basement in a dirty string vest, no life, no friends and no bike they just pretend 👍🤣🤣, don't let them get to you, they get pleasure from writing negative comments, you've made it very clear you are just ordinary people worrying on your own bikes. Chain goes through quick but try cord to pull it through or something smooth like fishing line. My fave is cord cause you can tie easily to wires then black tape. If they’re small diameter , ky lube will work well then dry out better than Vaseline.

I feel your pain on the clutch cable and trans cover guys. I recently did bars on my dyna and had to attack that gremlin myself. I had the hardest time getting the threads started on the cover with the new cable! Looks great guys, Night train has to be one of Harley's best looking bikes. I would like one but have to stick with my Dyna wide for a while. Have you thought about opening up that cam chest yet?.

@@VPCustoms I was thinking more about checking the dodgy cam tensioner shoes. Mine are grooved out already at 20t mls. I'm doing mine this spring. Your bike is in the same vulnerable age as mine, not sure about 2007.

Definitely, even what seems to be the easiest job. Will always have some issue. I had a lot of issues with my first winter project and had to do research to figure out how to solve each issue. Especially mounting Street Glide fork mounted turn signals to the front of my Road King. First time de-pinning and finding out what connectors and pins I needed, but luckily I got it all situated.

I use #20 or #30 fishing line, it slides through the bars easier than chain.

Oh cool! I just always used the little chain because of the weight, gravity just lets it fall to the lowest point.

Those handlebars really fit that bike for sure, I go through a different style handle bars almost every season just to try em out, I just drop my apes hanger this winter for some buck horns... remember your never stuck with the handlebars if you decide you don't like em as far as the feel, the look is mint but you may decide you don't like how it feels, bars can make a huge difference in how you turn and cruise.

@@VPCustoms Yeah, just a little pricey, but they give you all in one: 1) stylish and a sure headturner with those bends and elements like the gussets, and 2) very comfortable with that 4” pullback, plus one can pull it closer or further away before clamping it in place.

Hey guys. Love your videos. Actually the main reason I got back into riding is cause your videos. As well as why I purchased a night train. I just picked up an 2007 train. Is there any way you have a link from Amazon or somewhere to the exact handlebars as well as the burly kit? I want to do the same setup with mine just not sure about the cable/working kit from burley that would fit with my 07. Thanks guys. Happy riding be safe.
