I no longer watch MSNBC because Alex Wagner opened the Dr. Makary story with "he's a vaccine denier" with Vin Gupta chiming in that Marty's "just a clinician" and he doesn't know drugs or how to run an agency. And the sanctimony was spectacular. And btw, I just read Blind Spots and the chapter about the blood supply during the AIDS epidemic re-opened my can of rage. I worked for the New York Blood Center during the AIDS crisis. I both recruited donors and worked the overnight triage for distribution to hospital blood banks. We were trained that the blood supply was safe.. I'll never forget, and always regret, the father of a hemophiliac kid who needed Factor 8 came up to me terrified that blood products were not safe, and I assured him for like 10 minutes that they were. They were not. We are in such need of guys like you and Marty.

I was put on oxygen and moved to a covid floor where I was given dexamethasone. It took me some time to wean off oxygen but I am greatful to be back to normal, as it took some time to get there. I still would've declined the vaccine, even knowing my own outcome because I am not a fan of taking medications that really had no data at the time for pregnancy outcomes. And, although antidotal, I saw women in a birth group I was in have more spontanuos abortions or placental abruptions at 17-21 weeks then I had with all three of my other children. I am uncertain of their V status but it was an unusually high number regardless of what it was related to.

Prompt: What were the fatalities from COVID-19 pandemic in the US from 2019 to 2023? List the fatality by year, add a summary with total fatalities. Copilot: Here are the COVID-19 fatalities in the United States from 2019 to 2023, listed by year: 2019: COVID-19 was not yet a significant cause of death in the U.S. 2020: Approximately 352,000 deaths due to COVID-19. 2021: Around 485,000 deaths due to COVID-19. 2022: Approximately 245,614 deaths due to COVID-19. 2023: Around 76,446 deaths due to COVID-19. Summary: The COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on mortality in the United States, with the highest number of deaths occurring in 2021. The introduction of vaccines and improved treatments helped reduce the number of fatalities in the subsequent years, but COVID-19 remained a notable cause of death through 2023. The total number of COVID-19 fatalities in the United States from 2020 to 2023 was approximately 1,159,060. If you have any other questions or need more information, feel free to let me know.
