The lack of replayability in singleplayer games isn't something that should be considered a problem. It's nice to have, sure, but the quality of a game isn't affected by this at all. Take something like Half Life: Alyx for example; if the game didn't have workshop support and only had the singleplayer linear story - it would still absolutely be worth its $60 price tag.

True, repayability shouldn't matter all that much in single-player, as long as it's quality. I guess it also depends on what makes a single player vr game quality as well. Length, concept, repayability? (I don't want it to be infinite btw). All of these factors and more master in making a single player game good. Yes, we have great games, but some of it does feel gimmicky after a while.

The fact a video in june 2024 is still listing the same 5 games people have mentioned for the past 3-4 years shows that VR has gone nowhere. Whatever happened to the GTA port Facebook was working on? Must be abandoned, have heard absolutely nothing.

It's almost as if some silly billion dollar company bought up most of the companies focusing on vr games at the hype of VR and canned their projects and shut them down for tax write offs or something, leaving a gaping void of titles.

The reason why I am not into VR: Pricing and Quality. It does not match up for my personal taste. Would love to buy the Index... and eventually develop games with it, but that thing is never going down with their Price! And I will NEVER go Meta!
