Man, this sim you have is my dream. It is awesome. To bad here in Brazil that would cost a fortune. Take care

Servus Chris! Crisp video - good to see your awesome rig again and this time also beeing able to see your tremendous green screen box with all the action in VR within it! Sorry I did not reply earlier on my GTA tries concerning your plugin. I just could try once and I failed - than a lever on the right motor of my MoSiRig broke. The feet section crashed down on my electronics and I am working on removing all the damage since. I will send you email when I retry with GTA your help with it is much appreciated. Have a great week, stay safe & Greetings from BAVARiA, Yours ART FLY

Your sim is simply the best and most realistic! Can you please check “yaw vr 2” 3dof sim which rotates 360 degrees and tell us what you think as a professional in this field.
@Christopherknauf3 жыл бұрын
I know the yaw vr platform, its a novel idea. it is an inexpensive way to add some cool immersion to your games. before my 6dof version, I had it configured as a 2dof, and was quite happy within the confines of those two axis, pitch and roll (for at least a year...). yaw would have been great.. and 360 would be interesting as well. if you had a wireless VR headset,.. i can see that being really cool.,...flying I think would be immersive with this method... maybe moreso than racing.. as it does not look like it reacts to small input..or filtered more than something like my rig. the lack of heave I feel is its weakest trait., as heave is a very satisfying force to act on you during a race going up sweeping hills... and such.
@boston198013 жыл бұрын
@@Christopherknauf thanks for your reply, your platform is incomparable with them as yours is for hardcore car sim racers in my opinion. Their platform is more arcady and when you choose 3dof pro version (most popular ver) it will be about $2100 without the chair so its not as inexpensive as it seems. Btw they are planning to add heave as a 4dof and they will announce wether their experiment is successful on mid may (it will 15-20 cm heave and it will be called gravity force). Also the pitch motion range is 70 degrees and the roll is 40 degrees with motion speed of up to 360 degrees/s, is this normal for a home sim? It seems too good to be true but from their videos it looks very solid and well made.

Me encanta tu contenido bro, ojalá en el futuro me puedas ayudar a armar un ring como el tuyo, voy a juntar el dinero para comprar todo lo necesario. También estoy diseñando mis propias piezas para simracing.

Cool. Is motion compensation now working for you? I had the G2 on order but cancelled it after waiting 6 months. Hopefully, the Valve lighthouses provide glitch free motion compensation with my Index.
@Christopherknauf3 жыл бұрын
It is about 95% of the time ... It can glitch out unexpectedly,... So I am hesitant in using is in actual races,.. but mounting the controller higher helped out quite a bit

I am also considering the Valve Index. I have both, lighthouse and WMR. I love Lighthouse! Is there in future a new lighthouse Headset avalable? Nobody knows. What comp. Software to use with lighthouse? Also open VR? Start with my old Vive HMD....

I put a image of the settings in the video @1:58( kzbin.info/www/bejne/jp-upGekZ7dggrM ) it took allot of trial and error to find something that would not make me sick in a few min :),.. placement and rigidity of the controller mount was key as well. also,.. removing any source of vibration, such as the steering wheel vibration effects, and the seat bass shakers,.. I turned off.

So how does it feel with all the sim feedback with the vr aspect? I've got a cv1 oculus I've been playing around with but I found really quickly that my pc wasn't very powerful, had to pull the graphics back to potato status in dirt rally 2.0, lol. I'm in the middle of upgrading my system to meet my needs right now. so far vr has been very fun to play with by itself i could only imagine that it would be epic in a racing sim
@Christopherknauf3 жыл бұрын
It's another step on the realism ladder,.. after a few min of driving... It was incredibly immersive... In that I forgot about the world I left behind... I was racing on the ring,.. seeing cars next to me was amazing as well.. I love the depth that the vr provided to make a truly 3d world. My rig is fairly new.. built it at the start of the year...minus the video card.. I have a 1660ti and that is enough to get 90fps on around mid quality graphics. I was looking at getting a newer one.. though ... The market is shit right now u can't get a good card to save your life. It definitely adds to the immersion though.. :)
@sfcoawol62733 жыл бұрын
@@Christopherknauf tell me about it, i got a 1070 a while ago and the only reason i was able to snag it was because it had a broken fan, the prices the cards are going for these days are just insane. after i finish getting my pc parts though I'm seriously thinking of using some "cough" relief money to start getting the expensive parts coming for this thing

How is VR working in your rig? Thinking about building one but if VR has issues then I probably won't.
@Christopherknauf2 жыл бұрын
Vr is mainly issues,... It is awesome once you get it dialed in... But takes all of of tweaking to get it to where it's enjoyable and won't make you sick. Motion compensation being the tricky part. My ultra wide monitor is lacking these days and am looking to go up another size... But after I throw more money at my car first.....

What speaker system are you using? Is it dts? I thinking to change my 2.1 logitech to 5.1. Is it worth it?
@Christopherknauf3 жыл бұрын
i use a 5.1 dts receiver from Denon,.. got it for like 100 bucks off of ebay.. works well,,.. the rear speakers, add immersion,.. and I built a large 12 inch sub box that sits behind/near the sim as well.. and that shakes the house.. :) --- worth it
