That brings all the great memories back...used to own 1998 mk3 Jetta VR6. Loved it, great little motor, one of the best exhaust sounds. Used to fill up the tank and just run up and down back roads of CT on Saturday afternoons 😁

I had a similar setup: TT high flow cat, Magnaflow Resinator and muffler with suitcase delete. Now I have stock Resinator, and muffler with suitcase delete and the high flow cat. Where in Washington was this filmed. Maybe I'll see you at Waterwerks.

Yea I figure that I'm just gonna go with the magna flow muffler with the stock set up it just hard choosing the right one don't want that Honda chopper sound I do have a similar sound in the front because of the K&N filter instead of the stock one with a nice woosh/blow off sound just want it to carry back and out the muffler and i'l be happy

my mk3 was the same as this, loved the sound. Unfortunately it was the most unreliable car i've ever owned. Really wish they were rear wheel drive, it would have been alot more popular

Your comment means you understand nothing about this car. VW sold stupid amounts of these cars in Jetta and Golf form. Most became unreliable due to people not having a clue on maintenance and generally beating the piss out of a car meant to be a cruiser not a brawler. A properly tuned VR will still today stump on allot of so called faster cars in NA form and if boosted will crush cars twice the price. It's all how you build your car a blank check guarantees nothing.
