Btw, if you guys experiencing lots of drifting from your trackers, try spreading your USB tracking dongles. Having them close together causes interference.

Additional Base stations help too since it gives far more coverage. I grabbed a 3rd after swapping to 10 point tracking and no longer see drift at all, everythings just fluid in game its nuts. Ordering a 4th soon.

@@hidekimeio8693 If you don't see any drift after purchasing the 3rd, why did you decide to go for the 4th? Is there any benefit to getting more than 3? I have 2 base stations myself right now and I'm looking to update my set up.

Something I say to people that are on the fence about full body, is that, going from regular vr, to full body vr, for me, was like going from desktop to vr, like same level of WOAH

I agree. 3 Vive trackers made a world of difference with immersion. Same for getting a haptic vest and face mask. I would like to talk on mouth and eye tracking but I haven't been able to get that working properly yet to say for sure. Although I highly imagine it will have that same immersion feeling for me when I do get there.

Thanks for making this. I happen to have 4 trackers (one missing the dongle) and was thinking of getting a dongle and one more tracker to track my knees. I dance a lot in VR chat (just for fun and exercise) so knee tracking would be nice. But I think I might at least wait till there are decent mounting options.

The VMC 10 Tracker looks really good! But without a super good way to mount anything, then, well...I think I will wait for the MOCAP suits after all. I am curious if there's a lot of differences between the Valve Index vs the Vive Pro 2 or Vive Cosmos Elite. All three seem like high-end VR headsets but it's hard to make heads or tails of the specifics

The way I've explained VR to someone who doesn't have it or wants to get that FBT (Full Body Tracking) upgrade is to consider HOW you want to be in VR. My first headset was the Rift S and already having a beast of a PC. I loved those lenses so much. I hated the controllers and the times I'd lose tracking... It sucked even more having to be wired. I dreamed of wireless VR. For awhile there wasn't even an option for us to be wireless. Then came the HTC VIVE Wireless Adapter. I got my upgrade and hated it with all my heart and soul. With the HTC VIVE I realized what people were on about when it came to "screen door effect" and the god rays and word blur in full. I had infinitely better tracking, I was wireless which was mind numbing to even process that I could spin, run, and walk around my house (my VR room was 28' x 16') I could actually use the whole entire space. I could literally WALK around worlds. The immersion that alone brought me was tear inducing. It made VR more than a game, it was a full break in reality and beyond addicting to a point I genuinely pray people never have such an experience, as amazing as it is, it led me down a very dark path. I wish it was just being an e-boy or e-girl and erping. My setup was made of an HTC VIVE, HTC VIVE wireless adapter, 3x 2.0 Trackers, VIVE wands, later to be changed for Index Controllers and my mic and audio came via the Logitech G933 headset I used already, then upgraded to the Logitech G Pro X headset loved that, but getting everything on and trying to get the Blue mic to actually work 100% of the time was always a hassle. Got the Deluxe Audio strap, no regrets. Audio quality through it, surprisingly good, mic however... No one likes the HTC VIVE mic. It's beyond depressing they charge so much for it and that's what you get, HTC VIVE Pro and Pro Eye, even the Pro 2. Only worse quality.... At the least with Nvidia Broadcast, and turning off the gain amp on it you can actually get a decent mic. But I don't have the random stutters I had on my Rift S anymore at all. While I lost clarity, I gained visibility in distance, rendering capability, and the wireless feature I craved the most. While there's soon to be an Index wireless adapter, NOFIO. I would say it's a bit late for me. The Bigscreen VR headset is amazing and would let me go back to my Pro X setup, though I don't miss that extra bulky mess. The HTC VIVE series while having really great picture quality, resolution and FOV, it's still the only one native with support for wireless currently. Even if the Index NOFIO adapter comes out, If I had a choice... I'd got HTC VIVE PRO 2 over the Index. I'd rather have my personal resolution, FOV, and quality better overall especially with the difference between the two vs a better mic and audio. If anything I'd rather have something like the bigscreen VR headset come with an audio strap as the mic itself in the videos I've seen of people testing it... it's like they put a RODE NT1 in it. Studio grade quality mic, now if we can just get sound, wireless, and a better headstrap... That would be the golden ticket. The Index wins in terms of FPS at 144 (if you can even find a game that'll let you play it). It has the best mic and sound. Clear and beloved lenses, the best controllers. The Cosmos Elite is literally a meme, avoid it like the plague it is. The Pro 2 is honestly just a cheaper AERO or Pimax. It has the hands down worst mic, decent sound. In terms of specs, it's taking blows with the big leagues, but with the worst lenses. I've used the Pro and Pro 2, you definitely don't have the screen door effect as much as you do or even the godrays and blur, but it's most certainly still present. Significantly more noticable when drunk or sniping at distance. Bare in mind though, you're seeing a lot further out with it than you can compared to an Index of Cosmos.

One reason for more trackers? Improved: *Phantom Sense* Find a trainer for phantom sense that doesn't use hypnosis but uses neurology and modifying your prime homunculus (look it up), and find an avatar specialist then pay them to calibrate your avatar to your real body proportions. Give yourself a week or so of training and VR will be profoundly different. You'll feel warmth, cold, breezes, wetness of water or rain, softness, fuzzy things, etc. You'll be ticklish if you already were! If you have cat ears, you can train specifically to add them to your homunculus so you can actually feel them - same thing for a tail, too. I for instance have a long and fluffy tail on my avatar. After my first training session, I went to sit in a recliner and felt pain from my tail because my brain thought it was being squished and bent the wrong way. There's ways to combat phantom pain, as well. I've got things like that turned off now. But just having access to it all . . . _it changes everything_ , and without full body tracking you get virtually no sensation below your waist. More trackers just means more clarity. And I'm not so sure I'd want to wear a full body mocap suit, I feel like it would get in the way of my phantom sense, being skin tight.

I agree with a lot of points made in this video. My biggest problem is that 7 vive trackers is still quite cheaper than Rokoko and works roughly the same imo from video comparisons I've seen. Obviously the mocap has its benefits to smoothness but the massive price difference for the like 2% smoothness increase is not worth it imo. However 7 vive trackers is also really dumb for most VRChat players imo as well. Additionally you can't really use haptic suits with the Rokoko suits either which means if you're someone who enjoys haptics equipment you have to go with vive trackers anyway unfortunately. Though I totally agree with everything else stated in the video other than these 2 points.

Definitely disagree as more and more cheaper options are becoming available ( as well as tons of nearly free ones depending on what you use ). It gives u way more control and motion, Not to mention smoother transitions/movement, great for if ur using LIV for things like beatsaber, synthraiders, etc or any rhythm style games cuz u get full motion from the body, and amazing for streaming. VRC has a TON of interactive worlds like just dance, gaming, clubs etc where it really shines or just in general of being more expressive. Just watching your vide people can see the differences on the clunkiness between the standard vs multiple. It's def a game changer. Especially w/ Trackers being so cheap nowadays w/ so many options its amazing for people that are fulltime into VR. For people just jumping in sure try it out and see how u feel if ur just casually sitting all the time and don't like to move, trackers won't do u much. THere's so much that takes advantage of this. I def recommend a 3rd base station though as it really smooths out any issues on drifting etc. I made the swap after seeing streamers that were using 7 vs 3 and how fluid things were, especially on Neos and other games that quickly added support for them. LIV is just amazing on its own. Should be titled more " reasons you would WANT FBT vs not"
