I believe Light Based basically enables the emission the darker your surroundings are, as per say you visit a darker world your emission would light up, be in a normal or light world and they will be off! I may be wrong here but I believe that is the case, got to test and try!

I think light based emissions are a "glow in the dark" or that's what it used to be called in older versions. It makes the emissions only show when the world lighting is dark but when you are in a lit world the emissions wont glow. So in a sunny outdoor world you wouldn't see them, but in one of those dark club rooms they would. IF I'm right and that's what it is. But I have never played around with it.

This video helped immensely thank you! I am using a scrolling emission that looks great in unity, but in VRC changes the pattern when my avatar moves. Still looks like it does in Unity when I stand still, but shifts as soon as I move. Please help!

Super cursed way to make an emission map but it works. i usually use the magic wand selection tool and copy all the stuff of a color i like (like white) then delete everything and paste it back

Just wondering, you mentioned Poyomi shaders, but I'm completely new to all this and have no idea how those come in to play. Teach, wise one?

Is audio link the same way or has it changed? been having bad luck with audio link while using vrchat creator companion

It didnt change as far as i know But i am not sure tbh, ever sense creator thing came out i didnt use it at all, im still using unity hub

Oh i am so late. I have this on my avatar but it seems it doesn't show the glow. Is it a setting that is causing it to not show?

Depends. Usually you need yo apply it and enable it
