i tried doing this with ravos breath particle thing, but im not sure how to make it simply toggle it on and off according to the voice activation

you could make the 2 animations be on/off instead of a graph / bar And just have it turn on when voice is above 0.01 You can also try having it always be on, but change the breath particle to be more visible / less visible depending on the voice param

Also, you're the first person to say to delete the animations in the base layer. Does that fix a lot of problems and should I just do this all the time? or is there an instance where I shouldn't delete them?

if your base layer already has an empty state (one with no animation) then you can skip this step but if your avatar or layer does not, some times it'll get stuck on 1 animation which can ruin your toggles

mine has a layer called AllParts and it seems to have every animation I've ever done in it. Looks similar to what you did, but I'm just a little hesitant to delete all that stuff that I don't know much about :D

Ok so I backup up the project and removed them anyway and everything still works, so I'll just keep that clean from now on.

Does the voice activation work for questies too? Or is it a pc only thing?

you could do something different, such as a prefab or object with blendshapes. but since this is using a custom shader you can not do this *exact* method on quest

@@shaggy_but_live sprint select is not from the SDK, you will have to make it (its just a blendtree)
