She speaks five languages fluently and can articulate her thoughts on her art brilliantly in which ever language she is speaking. That is remarkable enough. Add to this her incredible talent as a pianist and intelligence and talent don't even begin to describe her. I am in awe.

Your comment makes me think about the fact that we should considerate the music himself as another language, one that not only we can hear, read, express and feel. She can communicate across all those languages thank to her art.

It’s not often and I assume actually quite rare that you come across an artist so amazingly talented, so strikingly beautiful, so intelligent and someone who is able to come across in an interview as articulate as this incredible person. I’m completely blown away.
@haikuhsu

She's this articulate in what isn't even her native language, which makes it all the more incredible. I've also see her interviews in French and she's just as articulate and expressive there. Her brain power to master five languages and the piano at such a high level is intimidating. And her being so beautiful too is really unfair to the rest of us lol.

I recently discovered Khatia via her performance of a Debussy piece and her passion, feeling, dynamics, tempo, and use of creative space simply gripped my heart and got me back to listening to classical piano music again. Listening to this interview, I can better understand where she is coming from as an artist, but also a human being who expresses her internal thoughts, feelings, insights, values, symbolic meanings, and interpretations through her musical selections, as well as her performances. Beautiful artist in every sense of the term.

International Association of Theatre Critics (Hong Kong) 31.03.2016 ..... One may say that it is important for musicians to have a unique musical style and personality, but is it even acceptable to interpret the pieces like what Buniatishvili did? Buniatishvili is intoxicated by being virtuosic and often forgets what is behind the music. One should have faith in his or her own interpretation, but he or she should also re-think whether he or she is doing justice to the music or not. In addition, technique is much more than playing the notes accurately and rapidly. Technique refers to the total mastery of the keyboard. Yet, at times Buniatishvili’s playing lost control, no matter use of pedal, or tone production. Virtuosity does not necessarily mean speed and volume. In order to become a mature artist with individuality, Buniatishvili has to reflect on her musical approach and attitude towards music making.

I have been a fan of Khatia's for several years, yet this is the first interview I've heard her speaking English, my native tongue. I have read comments after other interviews of people that were disappointed that it was not in English and they couldn't understand. My thoughts were that they would be more disappointed in an English version because of the limits of the language and the confusing exceptions that aren't accepted. I was pleasantly surprised and not disappointed at all, with this interview. I should have known that Khatia's command of the English language was better than most of my fellow natives. I think she was able to describe everything the way she felt it. Witnessing a performance of her's in the lecture hall would be just as hot of a ticket as one in the concert hall. Well, maybe.
