VRoid Hair Presets // VRoid Studio Tutorial

I've gone through 4 videos now and I just still cant figure this stuff out. Every file i've downloaded off of booth is just a .rar file. I convert it to a JSON file and when I go to save it it saves the name as "preset" and that doesnt let it work. I put it in the file that you said to and THE OTHER 4 videos have too and it. still. will. not. show. I truly don't get this and it's starting to frustrate me. It's not any of the creators faults in the videos its me ik it but my lord. It just wont show in the beta version. AT ALL. I dont get it at all. ;-;

.Rar needs to be unzipped via software like 7Zip (What I use) or Winrar. They're just fancier .zip files. The files you need are inside. Hope this helps!

in the new vroid if you update it there is now a import button for hair presets

Question; I have a hair that's labeled a ".vroid" file. Not a "vroidcustomitem" nor json. How would I go about slapping it on my character? I'm so dumb I'm sorry

as far as i know a .vroid file is a character/avatar file try loading it into the program from the main screen and see if that works

So basically nothing created for the old version works with the new?

It would if you imported it to a character in beta ver. And saved it then imported that beta character into the new version and saved it as a preset. Its doable even if its a long way around to do things

I absolutely cannot find the folders on my PC...I know it should be on my external, and Steam says it should be there, but I cannot find those exact folders anywhere. EDIT: I had to un-hide folders and files to see it. Now I don't see the N00Allhair folder...I do see the rest though?

You might have to change the settings in your computer so you can view hidden folders

you might have to look up how to go into your settings so you can view hidden folders, that should fix it

Right click on the VRoidStudio icon on your desktop and click( Open file location) once in that folder click on (AppData) on the file explorer link and follow these folders LocalLow->pixiv->VRoid Studio->custom_items

This is just terrible, in the old version models and presets were saved as “pmx”, but now we need some new format exclusively for Vroid, not a single site converts to this format, and json now doesn’t work either. Why are they doing this? All the community’s efforts were in vain, and I can’t upload my old files or anyone else’s. This drives me crazy!
