I have a Himalayan 450 and I have seen 400X but did not ride it seems like a smaller compact motorcycle so its a scrambler. I would say for city use go for 400X and for all rounder for for 450

I feel like it would ve better to buy the bike after atleast 3 to 4 months. So, all issues can be ironed out. Same with Scrambler 400. Also, with RE the torque becomes available only after 3000 rpm. Unless you are driving below that which is very unlikely even in traffic , this is not going to be an issue. But at the same time, Scrambler has a better torque distribution. Maybe for RE we can do a engine remap in ECU later to flatten the curve a bit and spread it over a larger range of rpm and give a bit to lower end torque.
