I heard it on the radio the other day whilst stuck in a traffic jam and thought how magnificent the production was given the technology available

As much as I was a huge fan of 10cc, this guy's voice stood out for me and when he and Lol did Consequences, moreso the song '5'o'clock in the morning', it blew me away. If you've never heard it (or even if it) do yourselves a favour and get a pair of good headphones etc etc.....their individual and combine voices is incredible!

This is probably the Ultimate love song with my next choice being 'IF' by the band Bread, both complete opposites as regards the way it was recorded but both have stood the test of time, both have haunting melody and mood. The 70's will never be equaled only the 80;s was close.

★I Live in SF- I just saw the last Show of the 1st Tour of The US/NA in 47 Years. I thought it'd be a full-on 10CC w/both 'teams' or factions. I was looking forward to making up for Graham's oddly easy sells in those 3 w/ mostly FYL {Bongos 'n 'Blues, hmm ok). HFoS & EHY especially were & could've been the 2 very tough Protopunk TRX & Songs in the Animals' Sets as they really weren't the finest name in Song Composers & open for a bitter Ballad w/bite & sincerity with the screaming Eric Burdon was capable of. The Y'birds' main problem was Arrangement of the material put in front of them & Bongos made no sense so w/o a better arrangement w/a sincere Gent conducting the results of that 1, WHY try to hammer it to fit it in where there was no place to put it? Not a good system to me but Gouldman was a pleasure up on the Stage; as they were loading up their own gear he acted like he was late for the last train out of America & The Palace of Fine Arts in SF was the last one on the itinerary for N.A. as well. We shook but it'd been a big 2 weeks of Shows: 2 Powerful nights w/ 'X'- still together since 77-4/4 & the last Gtrist w/ Gene Vincent -Billy Zoom. The most Lovable Gent on a Gretsch & a Sax for a few Songs as well w/Sax solo passages that fit well. Sweet, innovative, organized & talented; Remain In Light #3/yr & Totally Tubular Festival w/a Dozen that MTV really did not help but it was the same as in '81 & a 'British Reinvasion' w/ Herman "& 'is 'ermits', Gerry & His Pacemakers, the Original Troggs 4/4✓ & the Closer- BAD FINGER before Tom Evans went to find Pete Hamm after he'd built a SOTA Studio in his own former barn only to find that sleaze Mgr stole all of The Finger's £/$. Billy J Kramer of The Dakotas was the 1st & he was the 1st artist sent from the UK across the Ocean- preBeatles. MTV really was a very tough programmer & Judge. As Zep didn't have any video dreck it's a good thing they were video-less'! MTV was/is a Band killer. 'If you can't play anything special, you better be a good Artist w/film. A lot of '1 Hit Wonders' at TTF. Tom Bailey & 3 Hot, Talented Lovely Ladies w/the best of happy go lucky 🎼 & the Best Stage Craft & Set Design & Tom Dolby was the only Solo & very good at his own thing & at Closing each night I presume. The Tubes were a late slot in as The Romantics had a problem. Not Genre suitable but 'Tubes'+ 'Tubular' suited very well. The real Drummer was on Tour w/Todd R so this one suited the last 2 other Original members & their Keys Player since the real member left to join the Dead & then Died. The sub Drummer saw the irony to it all when the phone rang & "You busy for the rest of the US on a 12-15 band Tour?"(±) Say wha? Suited very nicely for almost 3 Tubes & a ringer on Drums when Todd's out w/Prairie Prince! Priceless fits ✓ Back to 10CC-No Kevin or LoL & out of any Merch as well. I think the same video Guy who did CRY MUST'VE DONE THAT 'B/W' Michael Jackson video of almost the same thing re video. It's a shame when bands can't work together IF still alive of course.
