xaultimateax It was faulty because they were playing under michael's name and the kinect recognizes voices to each profile. the kinect was working better for michael because it's programmed to respond to his voice and not other people talking. that's why geoff had a hard time. Not because the kinect sucks.

The Kinect is as good as it can be for now, yes, it's really hard to have precise movements with the Kinect, the problem is that the Kinect shouldn't be used for games that require precision(most good ones). It can be groundbreaking work, which it is, but as long as it doesn't work how it's supposed to, you can't expect people to accept it and give it thumbs up for effort.

You realize they where talking at the same time or very close in time to the command, so the Kinect sensed it as conversation rather then a command. Also they said they didn't calibrate it and occasionally Gavin would get behind them and mess with the sensor.

For everyone saying it didn't work as well because there was additional conversation: thats still a major problem for the Kinect. A large amount of gaming happens with multiple people in a room, and if Kinect doesn't work as well in those situations, it isn't as useful. Plus, having to 'calibrate it' to get it work right is also an issue; I like local multiplayer, and sometimes multiple people need to make commands on the same Xbox. Still, its substantially improved from the last Kinect.

Jorge Carter If you get on a video game that has low sensitivity and has a very bad contrast level then you can't turn well or see anything properly. The Kinect is trying to pick up voices from its preset settings. If it was calibrated, it would know how voices would sound in the room and at what decibel they would be used at.

People need to realize why Geoff had more trouble with the kinect than Michael. They were using Michael's account, which also meant his kinect was calibrated with HIS voice. Geoff had a harder time because Michael's kinect was more used to Michael's voice, not Geoff's. My kinect works fine as well. Sure, it's not completely 100%, but it is pretty accurate most of the time with my voice.Otherwise, I'm enjoying the Xbox One AND PS4, because I'm not those idiot fanboys who stick to one side and miss out on games from the other side.

I am not picking up a PS4. I see no reason to pay $400 for 1 game. I wish inFamous: Second Son was on X1 but sadly it is not. I am just sticking with my X1 because i have a gaming pc for every non exclusive.

Why the hell would anyone want to play with the Kinect instead of the controller? The only reason Michael chose to use it for this was because he knew it would be a handicap. I just don't understand why people think this is the future...

eh, I use it for it's voice commands in DR3, and those are fairly useful. I would never play with my hands though.

I know. I wasn't saying that to hate on Michael. But it's true, isn't it? Geoff would've won without the Kinect. Michael was strategic about using the Kinect and it worked out. I enjoyed the video regardless.
