I love that Substantial's lyrics help get across the feeling of "Trying to have fun, but clearly fighting a losing battle to stay afloat emotionally" which not only describes his current predicament, but gets across the general mood of trying to push yourself to work on something important when you're out of fuel in the tank. I also love the implication that Fatal Error and Sarah helped give Xenophanes one last shot at Boyfriend for Final Escape since BF did kinda step on their toes in particular compared to the others being either happy to meet him or just being indifferent. He managed to refuse Fatal Error's tampering, something he does to get stronger and surpass his master, and BF had the "gall" (read: clarity) to say Sarah wasn't right for murdering increasingly-random people in retaliation for being killed and then just up and leaving, the very thing she went insane over NOT being able to do for thirty years.

7:54 I don't know why, but the way he says "I wanted to fly high, wanted to be like him" Is surprisingly heart wrenching. Not only is it a clever reference to his theme in Adventure, but it also does well to convey how betrayed and distraught this version of Tails must have felt. He was killed in cold blood by what he thought was his best friend, even if it wasn't really Sonic, and so he's lost hope in this purgatory he now "lives" in, and that feeling is shown pretty well here. Triple Trouble is probably my favorite of these covers because of that, it isn't just a song, it's an epic tale of Boyfriend going against these impossible odds to try and save the lost souls from the demonic imposter that is Sonic.exe

From the godlike art, to the perfect encapsulations of each character in their songs, like personel being over the top edgy, final escape having xeno being hella pissed, sunshine having tails doll constantly attempting to be creepy and failing mostly, and the constant swears and again, rather over the top edginess of chaos, is perfect for each songs and their purposes. The vocals are amazing in everything but personel, but that was obviously intentional. I don’t wanna get lost in the chat, but Miamy must’ve worked really hard for the entire mod. Of course with some old songs already done, this is a treat! All of these covers are fantastic, and that's been stated many times in other comments, but I really want to point out how inspirational Too Fest is? Like, Sanic.exe is a stupid silly meme guy, but his song contains a message about doing what you love no matter what others think. It also helps that the lyrics are especially clear throughout the whole song, compared to a few others, where the speed of the notes themselves interfere with understanding the lyrics. Like, unironically, it's one of the best covers I've seen on your channel, and that's saying a LOT.

One thing that I find interesting about Personel and Too Fest is the fact that it appears that Coldsteel's mic doesn't have a pop filter over it so it sounds like shit, yet Sanic, a character who's whole gimmick is that he's based on MLG memes has just as high quality of a mic as the rest of the cast. i wanna give my opinion on every single song in this beautiful collection: too slow: im not sure why, yet it feels like its been rebooted, which makes it 10x more amazing you cant run: it was already my favorite song in vs sonic.exe 2.0, and they somehow managed to make it even better! triple trouble: the 8 minute marathon of horrors trying to kill boyfriend, their voices are absolutely amazing, i hope to see more work from the voice actors. endless: i love how majin is just trying to get bf to stay, due to him being in solitude. cycles: i like how the lyrics really put emphasis onto the fact that lord x is just toying with bf. sunshine: godly song, amazing, now that i think about it, probably better than you cant run. chaos: i love fleetway's cocky attitude to the fight, like its just some game to him. roundabout: this song is on the same tier as sunshine and you cant run, just, mwah, chef's kiss. fatality: i love how it is implied that all he needs is code from other people, even if they dont have code. substantial: again, with roundabout, sunshine and you cant run, they actually make it feel like bf is talking to him, like he is trying to communicate to him so he can get out of the game he created. personel: haha funny devientart oc from 2012 go brrr, but still, banger song. milk: better then the best 3 i mentioned earlier, 20/10 too fest: mmm, the weed smoking meme machine that is a god at cod, still, banger song. final escape: truly an amazing song, they really made it so it feels like an actual fight between bf and xenophanes. welp, that was my opinion on every song, hope you enjoyed wasting your time reading this!

45:00 Final Escape, Brodowo and crew really, *REALLY* outdid themselves. With the whole vid, but I was kinda caught off guard by Final Escape. But boy am I glad it was added, Final Escape was already one of my favourite tracks from 3.0 and this is perfect and the finale of it gives me chills every single time, the way Xenophane was yelling like he was actually angry and the fact that his voice actually cracked (slightly) which just shows how mad he’s become. The only issue is that he just awkwardly floats away at the end without a sound, but apart from that. *chef’s kiss* PERFECT

Imagine how hard this was to make! I'm glad I watched this, because I can appreciate this creation by Brodowo and the artist that helped make this. The artist really worked hard for this one and I love the extra art and animations added to some of the songs. From the great writing and awesome singing, to the ABSOLUTELY GODLIKE art and animated parts, to the smaller details like Fatal acknowledging that he can't use his TTS for singing, and switching to a normal voice, and Sanic's "Snoop, this one goes out to you!" before the fight, this is probably the greatest sendoff this mod will ever get! I was kinda hoping Sanic would mention Weegee, like he did in the first version of 2-fest, but I understand why that got removed, and the addition of Final Escape MORE than makes up for it!
