I used a zip tie to squeeze them together to get the bolt started. I didn't have a lift either. Those V-bands are no joke....

Great Video! Lots easier than doing 2 downpipes on the N54s that I own. V-bands can be a pain in the A$$! Maybe take the engine plate down next time? Will give more clearance.

Just tried this on the ground and that top clamp on the XDRIVE models is insanely tough to get to and align … there is literally no easy access to it anywhere in the bay lol

@@HelpMeDIY I did end up getting it … I ran open downpipe for 3 days lol then got the car on a lift - lowkey the bottom clamp was not easy either and I disconnected the entire exhaust. I have a 4 series gran coupe so there’s a ton of braces under the car to keep the exhaust up but I wouldn’t have been able to do it otherwise.

I’m having the same trouble you guys had getting the top vband clamp on. I’m doing it on jack and jack stands, how did you manage to get that first couple threads in?

Thanks for the good footage of the bottom v clamp. I was putting my stock exhaust back on so I can pass emissions and was having trouble seeding those fucking teeth lol

No, the turbos on the S55 are different than the N55.

@@BeRealistic.vsrf was out of stock on so I just used the old clamps on the new one no problems. About two months ago full bolt on and tune,car feels great no problems
