VT Monster - 100 Miles of Gravel (?) in Stratton Vermont

In rainy June of 2023, Steve traveled to Stratton to check out the VT Monster, a gravel ride featuring a new 100-mile route called the Titan. Hopes were high for a fun day in the saddle, but the weather did its best to intervene. Not every ride goes as planned; not every event features spectacular conditions. Nevertheless, there was lots of Type 2 fun to be had, and no shortage of challenge and adventure. Ride along with us on the VT Monster!

The staff at the Weston Volunteer Fire department really went above and beyond at that event. They were washing bikes, lending jackets and serving hot coffee and taking pictures. It is hard to believe a few weeks later the station was under 5 feet of water!

Starting off a Gravel Hundo in the rain makes for a wonderful day in the saddle. Did the Wahoo ever come out of its coma? I've had the same issue in the past and it came back with all the data. Keep the rubberside down out there..
