You're talking about a dev that read Gura so hard that he programmed a proper response to actual Gura in game. In short, in game, if you play as Gura while visiting Bloop the fishing merchant, there's a line where the fishing merchant beg Gura not to threaten him for free stuff. Gura, when streaming, did try to threaten the fish merchant.

Watame main weapon is pretty strong, but if you get the stamps that speed it up (ghost & stone head) + anything that increases the attack size ( I got the super version of Knightly Milk!) it becomes a very strong area effect weapon to the point where the only time I needed to move was when a Boss appeared. This mostly applies to the first level. ;)

Watame is actually a really interesting character. I'm consistently surprised at the sophistication of mechanics in this game. Watame is a 'does damage through healing' character done in a way I've never seen.

I was taken by surprise the first time I saw Watame’s special. How a cute little character can shoot such a devastating ray. But I like the idea that because Watame never does anything wrong, she doesn’t kill her enemies, she just cures them so hard that they die naturally.

So Watame's ult is Master Spark, plus Non-Directional Laser. I saw it in the trailer, and thought they finally added a Phieraggi-like into Holocure. That weapon is my favorite in Vampire Survivors.

I built a tank watame and it was so good, you get uber sheep you dont even have to collab it with spider cooking (obviously its good collab) but even before that collab they just explode when you eat burgers. beetle is kinda good for skill damage and bandage for more healing and tankiness.

Watame's character so far is one of the better ones & has the potential to be meta. Some of the builds you can maje with Watame can literally turn her immortal. She struggles a bit against bosses, but against the fans she tears through mobs like nothing cause of how her mechanics work.

Well, it's not about "the dev", but rather about upper management and the industry itself. It's what happens when we mix something that should be an art with profits, profits took over and every "unnecessary" things got removed to increase said profits. I'm sure many game developers want to make their games good, but got cut off by "loss of profits" from management, and being employees you got to do whatever they want you to, or you quit the job.

Watame with full heal build prob OP, but looking at her stats she prob just for stage mode not endless. I only tried peko, kanata, luna and watame so far on this new update, and so far kanata is the most interesting one for me.

@@liangzx Currently been doing max HP as a priority since it's just straight out damage and survival. Need a decent amount of speed to deal with the yagoos though. I'll also say that her weapon is very good with size, haste and the pacifist stamp if you're worried about enemies with ranged attacks.
