The spark of the problem were Aloe's fault for not deleting the Twitcadt. But, the gunpowder for all of this shit is 2chan (JP's 4chan) and JP's Twitter. Because they are more toxic and brutal than you'd think, and they will not forgive anything no matter how small it is and will usually exaggerate it. Doxxxing in itself is already bad, since your Privacy is now Compromised. But it's much worse in Japan because of 2chan an Twitter. They'll call your home, email you, stalk you, making false accusations (to your work or the authority), and a lot of other things until they're satisfied. But in rare cases which is way worse than before, are kidnapping, raping, drugging, etc. Also with how shitty the Police are in Japan, it's like having an army of arson against a little to no firefighter to fight them. So it's up to the bystander to act either with them or against them. I know i sounds like making this up, but you can Google it any of the cases i mentioned above aren't rare in Japan.

Pain. You know, she's gone now and it's gonna take a long time to heal. Not only on the side of the actual talents and livers, but also on the side of the fans. What do I mean? It's starting to get hard to watch streams without thinking about all the awful stuff that's happened. Cover Corp and management on the side of Hololive have made the same mistake over and over on being unable to protect their talents. In trying to watch only for themselves, they publicize the situation, further exacerbate it, and / or completely avoid doing anything during the situation. The Hololivers keep being dealt awful blows. Mismanagement and not being to respect and preserve the sanctity of their talents on the end of the administration and management isn't helping, and historically hasn't. I feel like their actions are only giving leeway to antis instead of being able to cordon them off. I can't watch comfortably knowing that what happened to Aloe can and has happened to other VTubers, and I imagine there's a lot of people that feel the same. I want to know that the people behind the VTubers have a good management covering for them, and that they're safe. I feel bad for Aloe, and I hope that this doesn't have any effect on her future and employment. She deserved far better from the management than what transpired. The only thing we can do now is do our best to keep supporting our VTubers everywhere, respect our boundaries and provide comfort and care where hate and harassment reigns. TL;DR: She was suspended for 2 weeks because of a leak of her character prior to her debut but she left hololive because of pressure from certain japanese fans. Basically there was a TwitCast test video with her 2d model (approved by the management) which wasn't deleted. So they -bannned her- ...sorry, she _took a break_ for 2 weeks. That's the official reason. But wait, there's more. There was an old video spreading from the person behind Aloe where she leakes some practises done by some companies and gives info about the retirement of a Nijisanji VTuber. Though these mentioned practises aren't new to anyone who has any knowledge about the idol industry, japanese fans insulted her for leaking information which they deem traiterous. The hate of her lead to people doxxing her and calling her on the phone. Aloe was afraid of being stalked. Yesterday there was the announcement of her "graduation" (retirement) which took many fans by surprise. There was *massive* support from overseas fans and even japanese fans for her but I think she was just scared to being exposed to the hate. She left Hololive herselft, it was her own wish. Personal note: It's a tragic story. When the first image of the 5th gen was released, Aloe was already my favorite. After the debut of her I liked her even more. I was exited to see more of that smirking devil but now... shattered dreams. You waited several months for something and right before you could get it, it gets smashed. I'm pretty sure there are many people like me who feel the same. The smirking devil... a smile we couldn't protect. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. Thanks for reading.

Cover just literally let the haters, the doxxers, won this battle. Do you think they won't do another attempts later on at 6th, 7th, 8th, 20th gens? The company has been so stupidly weak and giving one too many apologies lately. I’ve been thinking long and hard over this and the one thing I keep coming back to is how Aloe must have spent months and month preparing for her debut only to have this happen less than a week after it took place. Mio nearly got terminated due to their negligence, and now Aloe is the next one, except she's now gone to us forever. Regardless of what she did, there's more to the story than just "she didn't delete her stream". And summing it up like that is extremely ignorant and boneheaded. This in turn made people believe that Aqua was ignoring them to play with someone else. From what I remember, Aqua has a rule in place where it's one game per fan, but she played Abadango in five. This upset some people, and gave them the impression that they were cast aside. Aqua asked the fans in her lobby to "Ah, please make room for Abadango!" In other words, it's again a situation of people being selfish and taking things too seriously when someone's trying to put on something entertaining. In other words, the SIMPletons. This is universal, not just Japan. There's antis everywhere, but this is just another reminder at how quick these wastes of electricity, oxygen and other resources are to the planet when their whole life consists out of ruining others'.

Damn I just started falling into the rabbit hole that is Hololive and I knew there was one more member of the fith gen, I was hoping to get recommendations or Collab videos but I never did. Suddenly one post came up regarding "retirement" and man it is really disappointing and sad to see her gone. Even today I saw a video where Nenechi was collecting five pumpkins in Minecraft for five people. That really hit hard.

It still overwhelms me that vtubers are this important in Japan. I know that sounds stupid. But I see a lot of English vtubers who are independent and just have their own vtuber models they themselves made or had a friend make. There's no company here in the west to my knowledge that hires vtubers, unless you count twitch. I forget how serious the vtuber industry is in Japan. I forget that it being a different culture, many things viewed there are different from us. I love Japanese entertainment. Manga, Anime, music, games and even vtubers but I never looked deeper into Japanese culture. I guess I only liked Japan on a surface level (I don't mean anything negative by this). I still forever am grateful to Japan for making a large chunk of my favorite hobbies. I just hope that the negative aspects of Japanese culture don't intermingle with the aspects meant to bring people together. Just like how there's TONS of negative sides to west culture, this event showed us the negative side to the eastern vtuber industry

Japanese Idol Culture does usually mean that Antis are more common in Japan, but just because they're Japanese doesn't mean they're an Anti. Western fans can be Antis too. It's wrong to label all JP fans are horrible people who would dox others. It's not in Japanese culture to do this, but rather just a small, toxic part of the community. Japanese Idol Culture definitely has some flaws that result in these toxic fans to emerge, but its not all Japanese people.

I have two sided feelings about this, the first is Mano Aloe came into this with negativity; by which I mean, we have her recorded thoughts that she wasn’t fond of vTuber corporate culture. She came into the Holofive arguably over-confident, in which her background as a pretty successful Twitch streamer became part of her undoing; it was pretty sloppy, and careless what happened with her leak. However, I think everyone forgave her for the Twitch incident. None of that excuses how absolutely awful people were to her, in regards to the harassers. My other feelings are that honestly, Aloe-san doesn’t need Hololive. She is incredibly talented, and has her own proven track record. I have faith that one day, she’ll outshine all this darkness that fell on her; and rise as a Phoenix reborn from the ashes. I expect we’ll see her again someday soon, and my well wishes go out to her! Do your best Aloe-tan!
