What I do is I boil the soy meat chunks in water with minced garlic and onion plus a pinch of salt. Drain. I no longer squeeze the water out after boiling to retain the combined flavor of garlic and onion. Then I coat them with a vegan breading mix or simply flour + a little bit of cornstarch + a pinch of salt. Fry. And because I don't want to waste the used minced garlic and onion, I strain them from the water, add breading mix or flour + cornstarch then fry. 😁
