Cool! How about adding a thermal cut off switch super glued to the motor casing? Aliexpress has them cheap and could be wired into the controller's brake handle motor stop. If the right temp is reached, auto turn off and wait for it to cool down and don't push it for so hard for too long, no harm! That's what I'm going to try! Take care

love your tutorials!. question are you comparing the battery life? those are only 4AH batteries the SLA's on my drifter are 9AH. While I know SLA is only 50% usable, I'd still think you'd get more run time? also in the other video I would like to know the controller model you used, there is no link or reference in description thanks!

it def feels faster than it looks in this vid.. Im a fully grown adult and its 'feeling of speed'' compares to the electric karts at some popular place in NJ. Its scary the first few rides and i put off riding mine until i could change the tires/wheels but practicing in a parking lot helps get the feel. 48v 1800w. ill upload my solution that mounts a 48v 20AH battery easily daily secured from damage damage results the innocent battery cover. i raised the seat 4 inches and as is, the drifter critters a great size to throw in a car trunk and bback seat to transport 2. this video helped me see the kart could handle 48v oh mine is a ground force drifter

Great Video! I got a Razor like yours from a friend and want to try this upgrade. The only thig I don't understand is the battery packs. What is, or where do I get, the top piece that the battery clips into? The part that is like the bottom of the drill with the wires. I understand the rest, but when it comes to connecting the controller, I may need help. My Chinese isn't very good.

That's awesome bud. I did something similar with my kids razor... You'll like this.... I put a 3 hp treadmill motor on it and powered it with 10, 20 volt DeWalt batteries. 200 volts! It rides wheelies and hits 35 mph. No speed Controller tho. Its all or nothing but driving it feels like time travel. Haha.

Hi Vuaeco , I’v just found your channel looking for help to fix my sons 24v utv mx , I’ll give you the back story so far, the bike battery supplied was junk , very slow recharge time , not much power in the grass, so I hooked up my 18v 5amp makita batteries using the usb adapters from eBay removed the usb circuitry and soldered straight to the tabs, worked brilliantly then I thought I’d try my dewalt 54v but I just use crocodile clips it worked , not much quicker than the 18v mk batteries but definitely double the playtime so great but unfortunately the wires came loose and touched now I think Iv fried the control module as it’s completely dead ( very unhappy little boy 😢) , I’m thinking 48v 1000w control module but I’m guessing , I’m not sure if the motors can cope there 200w 24v , 1 behind each wheel , I would be very pleased to make a suggestion or point me in the right direction as I’m just a carpenter with a soldering iron and multimeter lol 😂👍

Couple rings of plexiglass, then a solid lense made of plexiglass for the headlight would look good, maybe drill a couple 5mm holes from the back, not all the way through, beside the led headlight, into the rings to space the cover out to cover the headlight, maybe paint the tip of a couple LEDs, or glue a tiny piece of aluminum foil to the tip of the through hole led, or maybe use a RGB led or a pair of them, use the aluminum foil to disperse the light , but a 3-4mm piece of foil on the led, to make the ring of the headlight glow, like a halo, have a switch to turn off the headlight, and keep the halo lights on, maybe make a red tail light the same way, use a 3w red led, with a couple traditional red LEDs 1/4 watt or what ever, maybe use 4 of them, use hot glue to attach to the aluminum plate and plexiglass, that is about 8-10mm larger on all sides than the 3-5w cob LED, the holes drilled 90% through 5-3 Plexi spacer rings, and possibly use foil tape, or glue foil to the inside of the rings, to reflect the bright light, and keep the two light sources separate, then the clear Plexi cover, use tiny screws in the corners, with the LEDs in the middle on the sides and top and bottom, use the small led halo light rings, as a tail light, along with the front lights , yellow, orange, blue, purple, any color, every color, changing color!, The rear can be the same also, but red or yellow/orange would likely look best, use resistors and switches, to operate, I have one, I'm thinking about doing the same for my sisters lil boy, use a remote shutoff Incase he gets in trouble, I'm thinking a 4s lithium battery is enough for now, he is still young! But I have a 500w motor, a 350w and could put two on there eventually, I was thinking about putting larger wheels on it, and use a weed eater motor, make it go in grass, at about a fast walking pace, but the 500w at 36v motor I have, running at about 72v 20s lithium battery, just over 80v is about 2kw output, nearly 3hp, maybe use that and I can ride it, maybe use two of everything, motors, controllers, batteries, use a 350w24v and the 500w, with controllers to run them 12v overvolt, a 36, and 48v,or just run them both at 48-60v, the 850w should be in the 1800-2kw range, maybe get a 3kw 48v brushes motor, push it with a 96v controller, that equals alot more than 3kw, double the voltage, also doubles the current, that squares the wattage! 12 kw peak power, it would likely oner heat in 5 minutes, probably back it off to 72v

The battery stays cool the whole time. This battery is capable of handling 40 Amps continuously. The controller and motor can only pull about 35A max so the problem here (if there's one) is not the battery but the motor and controller. I have tried this same controller on my electric scooter and it worked like a champ. The motor does get hot and that's where the heatsink and fan came in.
