Synopsis: Widely regarded as one of the greatest films of all time, this mob drama, based on Mario Puzo's novel of the same name, focuses on the powerful Italian-American crime family of Don Vito Corleone (Marlon Brando). When the don's youngest son, Michael (Al Pacino), reluctantly joins the Mafia, he becomes involved in the inevitable cycle of violence and betrayal. Coppola wanted to recreate the "Sicilian sun" in every frame involving the family, so the lighting is masterfully set to give a red tone, symbolizing Sicily and "the land of the endless sunset". This 4K looks absolutely amazing and The Godfather is a masterpiece that HAS to be preserved forever but I fear that a huge part of its identity and what's probably the most educated use of lenses in modern cinema history are being traded for better quality, when there is actually no real need for it.

Upgraded my trilogy to 4K for 5.99 and it won’t even play the 4K format, it just buffers for 10 seconds then ask would I like to select a lower quality……I wouldn’t have this problem with apple
