Thanks for posting this video, Matt. Nice shots regardless of the camera shake. Very sad to learn she's being put to bed soon - I'm an avid fan of all things V-Bomber so it's rather the end of an era. Just gotta love that howl from the RR Olympus jets. It's a great shame that she'll no longer be in the air - She will be sorely missed. I can still remember the first time I saw her (not to mention most of the other occasions too). Spectacular aircraft and what a history too! It's quite remarkable that the team managed to keep her flying for so long - last year I had the honour of being in the front row to see her at the Farnborough Airshow and I consider myself lucky to have been there for her last appearance at that show. My thoughts are with the families of the victims of the Shoreham accident and it's very respectful of you to dedicate this video to that cause.

FirstGearSims You're very welcome, mate! Was a bit of snooker situation. Zoom in and risk shaking, or not and not have clear footage. It'll be a great shame when she lands for the last time, but we've got to draw the line between Flying and Safety somewhere. XH558's flown more hours than any other Vulcan, so in engineering terms, she's in uncharted territory and her safety can no longer be guaranteed. The events of Shoreham serve as a strong reminder, of what, unfortunately, can happen at such events.

Superb footage of her indeed mate! So wish I got to see her. Really the end of an Era. Hopefully one day she will take to the sky's and visit down this way again. Though it seem very unlikely. Excellent work and thanks for sharing!

+SDJR7F88 Thanks very much mate. You've got until the end of the flying season, which is in about 1 month. It's a real shame to see her go, but I'm glad I got to see her one last time.

Great footage! I saw her for the last time in Dartmouth yesterday :( so sad to think she'll be locked up in a museum next year

+Humbolt136 Thank you mate! Was really glad she was able to fly that day, as the weather was unpredictable. I believe the plan is, she'll do fast taxi-runs for a while after grounding, but it's inevitable she'll be shoved in a museum eventually.

TheSoutherner :( ... Well if they have £2m extra to spend each year how about getting a Concorde up in the air?! Supose you'd need more money than sense!

dorset steam boy I was halfway up one of the Zig-Zag paths, about halfway between the two piers. Stood on a retaining wall so I could see above other people without obstructing them. Glad you enjoyed the video, and I think that's a very respectful idea of you.
