I have one of these-mine was clogged with very fine rust from the tank, and I thought I got it cleaned out, but it looks like I will have to completely dismantle it as you did. Thanks for the helpful video!

Pretty cool. Thanks for the run through. I bought a camping lot at an auction and it had one of these hidden in the back. Still has the original box and instructions in both German and English.

That's awesome! You will definitely enjoy it. Just remember to loosen the cap before you fire it up.

Cool. Nice job on restore. I have a couple of variants of that design.

Good explanation. It's similar to the Turm Sport/Touring models, also German

I just picked up one of these in great shape in a "lot" of other random stuff for $40!!! Killer Auction SCORE!!! Seeing some go for over $150 on Ebay. To keep or to flip??? Kinda wanna give it a test run and KEEP IT!!! Rather hoard than profit. But at least it kinda fits into the prepper mentality cache. Sheeeiiitttt. LOL.

I have one of those! Missing the top to the tank, and I tried cleaning out the generator but got stuck on that “filter” part as well and ended up giving up. Thanks so much for the video! Super helpful! Do the pins come out easily? What did you use to knock them out before you could grab them with pliers and pull?
@Kingscoolstuff4 жыл бұрын
If I remember correctly, I think I bent the hinges that the pins go through. Just a pair of needle nose should be enough to pull them out. Good luck!

The peak temperature of ethanol flame is 1,920 degrees Celsius (3,488 degrees Fahrenheit), while the peak of methanol is 1,870 degrees Celsius (3,398 degrees Fahrenheit Both burn 40 to 90 degrees C cooler than white fuel/Coleman fuel/gasoline, and also cooler than propane or butane Not so your hand would notice though. All of them would burn your hand to a crisp!

Yes totally agree, but didn't have the numbers available, but knew in my heart that what he said was wrong, I have many stoves, white gas, propane, alcohol and kerosene stoves. So I know white Gas burns the hottest of all. Good job! With the stats.

At first glance I thought, wow that's the same stove as the one I found in my grandpa's garage. But there are some differences to mine. On mine the tank is connected to the burner by a hose and the cooking pot plate is screwed into place. Otherwise it's quite the same. Maybe mine is an even older version.
@Kingscoolstuff4 жыл бұрын
There are a lot of stoves that are really similar. I hope you can get it running.

@@Kingscoolstuff oh it runs fine. Just had to do a little clean up in the tank and replace the old brittle hose with a piece of fuel hose I had laying around. Great stove so far, especially in winter where the propane stove keeps freezing up all the time

swedish radius 45 was another good alcohol stove...same stobe just different design. These are scary economical to run and are very efficent. No wonder they dont make any new ones....

Are you using wood grain rubbing alchohal or vodka alchohal?
