Vulkanised 2023: Mesh shading best practices

This talk was presented at Vulkanised 2023 (Feb 7-9, Munich Germany). Vulkanised is organised by the Khronos Group and is the largest event dedicated to 3D developers using the Vulkan API. The event provides a unique opportunity to bring the Vulkan developer community together to exchange ideas, solve problems and help steer the future development of the Vulkan API and ecosystem.

I believe games that use Unreal's Nanite engine should be using it (on hardware that support mesh shading)

@@ultimateldrago847 yep mesh shader is coming on ue5 and Xbox series X/s support mesh shading

I'm thinking 2024 the earliest. Around 2026 would be nice reasonable. Around 2030 for things to be more optimized and more resources available.

Alan Wake 2 so far. So I guess its a start?

I haven't seen any evidence that UE5 uses mesh shading.
