Hi Daniel, I tried to create the VU meter with Attiny85 programmed with 16 MHz internal clock but it doesn't work. I think there is a part of code missing that identifies the display, I have a 0.96'' ssd1306. Thanks from Italy

Hello! Thank you for your interest in the project. However, please note that the program is functional and has been tested with success. However, the graphical library is no longer distributed since several years ago as the previous graphical library used has lost its maintenance. To make the program work, it is necessary to complete the command lines in the tinydriver.h file to control the SSD1306 I2C. Unfortunately, this part of the code is not available as I was unable to contact the original person who wrote it and held the copyright. As a result, the project is now archived. I hope this clarifies the situation. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.

@Abhiaudios The source code for the Vu meter is still available on the website but it has been moved to the Archive section of the main page. Please note that the code will need additional commands for controlling the screen in the tinydriver.h file.

Hi! I’m planning on building a couple of these for my home studio :) one question though, what will happen if I apply phantom power (48 volts) to the input? I’d like to have this in line with my condenser mics. Thank you!

If you have made the suggested assembly with the source code, there will be no risk of damaging the attiny85 but you will have an incorrect reading of the signal on the vu meter! Ideally, a circuit should be added to the input to adapt the type of signal!

@@ElectroLIB Thank you for the quick response! Do you think a 1:1 transformer would do the trick on the input side?

Hello Daniel, would really like to implement the peojekt! however, I can not write C / C + + therefore I would need some help! the parts I have all here! (still left from the attiny arcade project) in the readme file you described that the code is complete except for the library for the oled itself!? i use the standard 0,96" ssd1306 display how do i add the appropriate library? greetings from germany

Really sorry but the tinyjoypad project for attiny85 is unfortunately archived for reasons of irregularity in relation to the ssd1306 graphic library! Unfortunately, I can't make support for this platform. On the other hand, I can suggest that you look more towards the Mega tinyjoypad for a much simpler project or even the Arduboy versions of my games which are very easy to operate! ;)

Hey, Daniel, great projects with ATtinby and the OLED display. I wrote a library for those several years ago it's called SSD1306xLED and I'm really glad to see many people using it. What library do you use?
@ElectroLIB2 жыл бұрын
Hello Mr. Neven Boyanov, all sources codes for attiny85 is now distributed without any affiliation to a specific library! ;) You are free to use the one of your choice!

Every time I try to upload the sketch arduino IDE says that the file is 199% too late he for the attiny85 memory. Any chance you can help me out? Thank you!
@ElectroLIB2 жыл бұрын
my code only uses 46% of the memory! If you have 199%, you probably chose the wrong processor! Select attiny85 in the "processor" tab, by default it is attiny25. Which would explain the 199%. ;)

@tatacosas4373 sorry for the inconvenience but since a complaint from a user about the use of the Defragster ssd1306xled library, I had to remove any reference to this library! :(
