Anneke comments: “The lyrical content of the album is inspired by the many cities I have visited while being on the road. The song ‘Days Go By - London’ is about The Great Fire in 1666. The lyrics are written from the perspective of the element of Fire, threatening Londoners to wipe them out, but the song is also about hope. Even in the darkest of times, the sun will rise.”

@@Trikipum Well considering Anneke was doing stuff like this in the 90's before those 1000 mostly unknown girls you mention even graduated and she can pull it off live without issues and in fact sound far superior to this (though I still prefer her The Gathering and accoustic stuff) I think she deserves the respect Zid gave her.

Anneke has been doing metal the whole time with Devin Townsend, Amadeus Awad, Moonspell and Amorphis, and even The Gentle Storm was quite metal.
