I don't understand why you say that we suffer because of the mistakes of our forefathers. Doesn't the blood of Christ exempt a Christian from those curses? And if Jesus won't deliver a child of God from those curses then what's the point of being in Him? Also, can we stop acting like answering our prayers is not literally what God promises to do for us?? It's not "using" God, it's actually accepting His invitation to ask Him for things. So why can't we express disappointment when He doesn't do what He said He will do?

There are some level of hypocrisy when comes to worshippers especially with interpretations of Old and New tastament. We have to acknowledge that christianity/bible brought so much instabilities in our families, villages, schools, government and so forth, while brought certain level of stabilty to colonial settlers n certain aristocratic individuals. To refer to vuyo and you, the question becomes, do we achieve things because we are worshippers of certain religion or tradition or through our own will? Do we need to give credits to god for achieving great and leave the suffering perpetuating in the world to satan? SA is above 85% christian population by 2022 stats, and the remaining 15 is accounted by other religions and traditional believers, while 50% of population are living under poverty-stricken society. They have to migrate to towns and so forth while leaving those they love behind in suffering and this trends keep going up n up. So i believe, if you don't prepare, plan, research and take action there is nothing that will fall from anywhere irregardless of whether you insulted jesus last night, or loves him dearly. You only increase your chances by takinh action. So there are some level of Christianity involvement in our society that divided, and worsen/degraded our society. Especially when comes to identity individual people in society or tribe and answering the question of ,"who am I?. People are brainwashed, manipilated and consciously blackmailed to acknowledge their roots especially within family, schools, communities and towns bcz of Christianity god who is holy and doesn't need any external interference. So directly or indirectly, Christianity contributes 85% to SA achievements and suffering

It's sad to hear a grown man thinking that being a Christian or Christianity is religion. Jesus has never taught people to be religious. Instead, He reconciled us with God so we can be one with God. Now, God answers people according to the measure of their faith. The scripture says in James 1:22 (But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.) And in James 2:26 (For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.) These scriptures are clear. We must also put in work in whatever goals we set in life, whether it be studies, gym, work, or whatsoever it maybe God will answer you according to the effort you put in your faith. Like a woman who suffered for 12 years with blooding, she had faith when she saw Jesus Christ, but she also had to put in effort by crawling and pushing her way towards Jesus Christ just to teach His garment for her to be healed. These are some mysteries a carnal mind can not comprehend. Jesus Christ doesn't care whether you go to church or not, He only cares about your soul and spirit. This is the reason all His teachings are about spiritual realization and uplifting of your soul to reach self-actualization "which is Christ in you" so you can be unstoppable in life. No mountain will be high enough, no weapons strong enough to destroy you. This is the true Christinity. Not some religious doctrines that are used to enslave the people.

The part of wisdom really hit me hard. The first thing I noticed about Vuyo speaking is that he lacks a lot of knowledge. I think the key to these issues is to first understand the character of God and understands how he works. God is not a person and we shouldn't question him like he's one of us. Proverbs says we shouldn't lean on our own understanding and we should trust him. To follow Christ doesn't mean to be poor, it means you rich and the Lord Jesus Christ has taken us out of the curses of the law as in Galatians 3:13, those curses in Deuteronomy 28 from verse 15 to the last verse in Deuteronomy 28. My sister i agree with you. Suffering has nothing to do with any kind of religion. Hence some of us decided to just be bcos loving God does not make a difference, we all go through seasons. Christianity can be harmful, look at the false prophets, how they take people's money and leave them poorer than they found them. I know someone who nearly commited suicide cos their pastor graped them. How is a lay man supposed to know who is false and who is real.
