If all gears remain selected, remove the position sensor socket and clean with a lining spray. then disconnect the battery and enable the ecu to reset. In the last step, make the connections, run and drive about 30 km.
@YepThatsIt4 жыл бұрын
hi, what do you mean "gears all remain selected" ? the trans will relearn over some 100 or so km of upshifting and downshifting, however ( from ATSG manual ) 01N, 01M or 01P transmissions, to manually reset the "Basic Settings": 1. Turn the ignition "ON", Do not start the engine. 2. Move the gear selector lever to the "D4" position. 3. Depress the accelerator pedal all the way to the floor and hold it there for 30 seconds. Make certain the carpet or floor mat is not in the way of the pedal. 4. After 30 seconds, move the gear selector lever back to "PARK". 5. Release the accelerator pedal. 6. Turn the ignition "OFF". 7. After completion of the above, drive the vehicle on the road and perform three individual upshift sequences and kickdown at light, medium and heavy throttle conditions. NOTE: The systems will fine tune themselves over the next 50 to 75 miles of driving.....now you owe me some beers, cheers

Hello! I have a '03 Jetta with a 01M FDF trans. The issue I'm experiencing is no 3rd or 4th gear engagement - it shifts fine from 1st to 2nd, but when it tries for 3rd gear it free revs until I come back to a stop and take off again, then the process repeats. Reverse gear, 1st, and 2nd feel awesome - no abnormal noises either. No codes stored in the TCM. Do you think I should swap in another valve body, or do you figure the problem is internal within the transmission? Thanks!
@YepThatsIt2 жыл бұрын
hi, probably easiest way to find out would be to lower the valve body and air pressure test the clutch apply ports, you might find one blows a bit of air. cheers

hi, i have a vwt4 2.5tdi 2004 caravelle. i had the auto trans overhauled since it started leaking out trans oil & gear slipping. now the problem i have now is, everytime i drive up hilly terrains it starts slipping again & revving too hard. I decided to feel the temp of the ATF hoses to the oil cooler at the front grille & it was extremely hot you couldn't even touch them!! Do you think it's a cooler issue, valve body or the auto trans is still not fixed. ..... on the verge of sending it to the wreckers!

Many times your videos are super helpfull but now i have problem i can't solve...I've tried going to 5 different service places to no avail. I've got MB CLK200 kompressor 2001 with Sprintshift gearbox that has no errors with OBD2 testers, but continues to drop from auto to manual with error "Transmission visit workshop".Drops from any gear, I can put it back to auto, but it does it again.It is not in limp mode, car drives normally, only wont shift automatically at very high revs, stays in certain gear for me to change it with +/- upto 6th... Also there is a lag when shifting, not sure if its supposed to lag. I am pulling my hair with this car and would appreciate any info you can give me. Thank you

01n audi 1.9 tdi. When in D nothing happens until you push throttle pedal. Then the car jerks forward. Also 1-2 shift slip and shifts hard. Reverse is good though(responds as it should).. changed fluid (3x time periodically). The car has been flooded and tcm didnt respond - changed it too. Now no fault codes in vcds.. Any good suggestions?
@YepThatsIt Жыл бұрын
hi, often i dont know if my suggestions are good or not, i rarely get feedback.....you may need to drop the valve body and air pressure test clutches as in our vid kzbin.info/www/bejne/p3W7nHSFhZ6ppdU however if flooded often the water/coolant causes the linings on clutch plates to peel.cheers

@@YepThatsIt well I can tell you that I dropped valve body. It was relatively okay, but this small spring on the bottom element was collapsed. I decided to change both gearbox and converter. When I was in the middle of the job, found out that one o-ring on that plastic tube thing going into the b-clutch was missing. It could have been the issue , allthough I didnt risk trying and just changed it all. Works fine now atleast🙂 also I am much more knowledgeable if something would occure in the future.

Hello I have my 01P gearbox refurbished by a professionnal On a 1996 caravelle 2.8 VR6. I have a problem with the D: its like the N position: i have to pull the selector back close to the "3" position to engage the D, but it is a sketchy position , not stable: if i touch the selector ils going to pop to neutral (and the position is still D on the board) I have tested the cable and the selector: OK I have tested the clutches manually on top of the box: every clutch position is clicking clearly, except the D one: you dont find the Clicks properly between N and D and between D and 3. When in D every gear is passing OK when in manual 123 R everythings is OK. Could it be the thing you show at 21h30? Or if not i Will have to test / change the valve body? 1- Should there be 4 balls or 3 balls other than the spring ball in the valve body, some of the videos show 4 balls and some of them 3 balls. While the location of the balls is shown in the service manual, there is a note that there should be only one in the bottom note, can you save me from this mess. Sen gönderdin 2-How many degrees should a good line pressure test be and what should be at P,R,N,D idle and at a certain speed, if any.
