I am struggling with this grill removal your advice and excellent tool design was like pennies from heaven .. gonna go out and see if it goes to plan .. Thanks once again for brilliant video piccys .the alternator has gone dead and it needs the radiator panel moving forward to be able to remove it . I sold the t4 caravelle to a nice lady and she contacted me because it had a very flat battery 11 volts .10 with the engine running . What a complete ball ache of a job . Hopefully all will go to plan today sunday 26th January 2025 in Alvito Portugal .My sold 2001 T4 caravelle was a nice blue one .

found my bell housing is riding on my right exhaust header (VN Commo); this job is in my future! thanks for making it clear i definitely want the hydraulic mounts. btw generally hydraulic mounts are supposed to be able to be adjusted somehow i read, so they Can outperform solid rubber- is that a factory thing only, or something we're supposed to ever do to these things? is there any kinda access to the fluids to make any calibrations hidden somewhere?

Hy I have a renault espace 5 that has an EDC dw6 001 gearbox and the last mount wnen starts in cold it makes a noise in 4th gear. My last trip was to a cold place - 4 Celsius and when 4 gear engaged the noise was bigger. I immediately stopped that car but when downshift the noise was bigger and different. Now I dit buy a second hand gearbox whit the same part number but I don't know if I need to program it after mount it.

my son and his friends recently bought a ford ED with a leaky gasket, they attempted to make their own and upon putting it back together they lost reverse.. turns out they forgot to punch the holes for the servo oil journals.. good learning experience. these are young lads with very little car repair experience. even i was baffled until i was looking at photos of the genuine gasket. hopefully this comment can help someone else. just buy the proper gasket if you can 😂.

Hi Great video on how to change the fluid, does the mechatronics need bleeding or do you just turn car on and the internal pump bleeds it for you or is there a process to get the oil back into the solenoids??

Hey mate, I have a 2009 T5 Transporter with the 09K and have removed valve body and replaced the ISS and OSS after my VW dealer diagnosed them as being faulty. I fitted new OEM sensors and refitted valve body with new filter and oil per your video clip. I also fitted a good quality trans cooler same as you showed in your clip. I now have no reverse but forward gears engage? I am yet to drive it until i work out why there is now no reverse. Any thoughts that you can offer? Many Thanks for you helpful tutorial clip. Paul

Hey mate, dropped valve body on my 2009 Transporter T5 09K and replaced the ISS and OSS with OEM ones as diagnosed by my local VW dealer, I replaced valve body and filled with the oil you recommended. I also fitted a better external trans fluid cooler. For some reason I now have forward gears but no reverse. I have not driven it on the road yet as I would like to know i have reverse before choofing off. Any ideas where to look for the problem? Cheers

At 19:20 you explain the basic "hard/soft" shift by backing off (counter clockwise with the "T" adjustment tool) vs. harder (clockwise.) In my case I've been thinking of my concern esp. when cold, on my 1990 300 SE, shifting "late." So, would you confirm that to correct for a "late shift" (higher rpm than feels right before shifting) requires "backing off." 2 X (2 and a half) revolutions seems like a Lot, but I notice you did it in two increments -- not 5 full turns all at once. As usual, wonderful and clear. Thanks. (I will confirm that my 300 SE is 722 transmission, but the principles, I believe, are the same. Your car is 1985 in the video; mine's 1990. I have two "Gen II" Mercedes: 300 SE with this "late shift when cold" issue. Before anything more than checking that my tube is properly attached and providing pressure, I'm going to change transmission fluid and filter to make sure that's good before changing either the vacuum modulator or adjusting the length of the tensioner bar (#7 on my diagram). Very big help. Thanks, D Day, Maine, USA

Thanks a lot mate! After watching your video I had felt like I had enough confidence to take on this task. But boy was I wrong. After pulling of me manifold switch I noticed that mine had ton of debris’s. So I tried to blow off the debriss one of the plastic buttons blew off and hit my mate in the dam eye, it was a bloody scene. Bloke nearly lost his eye . I wasted a lot of time looking for that thing Never found so fabricated me one of a poker chip. It worked bloody fine on the way to the hospital until I couldnt get in 3rd gear!!!! Aggggghhhhh

Hello. What does it mean if fluid leaks from the pin area and not from the sleeve? When I take off the plug, oil seeps from the connector pins. Otherwise it is dry around the plug. Is this repairable? Thanks
