For anyone having the same problem. I’ve been going through the same thing. Had a brand new battery fitted, had a brand new starter motor fitted. The alternator is sending charge to the battery and works fine. I had about 3 different people, a mechanic, a breakdown recovery guy and a key specialist look at my car and the last two figured that basically the problem is that the car has forgotton the code for the key. So he went into my car and put the code back in. It works most of the time now, but still I get the immobiliser light come on occasionally when it’s too hot. So the last resort in solving this is for me to go pay an car electrics specialise to take out the speedometer and solder the motherboard. Hopefully it will work

This is like expecting to watch a video on how to repair a puncture in your tyre and being shown a video of a car with four inflated tyres, and then one of a car with three inflated tyres and one with no air in it... Why did you bother?

Literally I almost put a hole in my wall. I replaced the whole cluster in my a6 and the sensor isn’t matched to the car.

there are many reasons for immobiliser malfunction you need specialist tools to diagnose the individual problem and then repair. if you are in our area give us a call we can diagnose and repair ... if not you need to find an immobiliser specialist in your area.

I'd look for someone in your own country. I imagine for his call out fee you could buy a new car.
