There's no way in hell that car deserves to be left lookin rusty, like no one gives a damn about it, it deserves a fresh respray and multiple coats of clear and then polished like a diamond....🤘🏻🇺🇸

I don’t understand Beetles, I don’t understand patina. What a waste of time and money. If the original paint isn’t nice, give it a nice respray so it does look nice.

Personally, I'd go for a total resto-mod. New paintjob. Modern engine, luxury modern interior and sound system. New everything. You'd lose originality and gain originality at the same time.

They painted the patina on it? That is so sketchy. They would have been better to take a grinder to take some of the paint off an put something on it to turn the metal rusty..

Air-cooled cars should only be owned by a master mechanic or someone who only drives them once a month. Those engines were not designed to driven in city traffic.
