Rolando, I have been looking for this job for quite some time. I have a 2006 TDI Beetle that the Driver bearing is bad. I don't have the press. I going to have to have someone do that part. Thanks. Great video.

you can probably rent a ball joint press from autozone/oreileys to do at home

From what I can tell, before the point where you take off the strut, could someone with the proper setting tools remove the wheel hub and replace it? Just looking at doing this myself, have a new wheel hub as well. Figure that's less invasive/time consuming that way.

if you grab the wheel bearing removal/install kit from harbor freight then yeah. just unbolt the axle and remove the lower ball joint plate yo swing the strut out of the way to pull the axle. then put the lower plate back and use the kit

What did you have in the front side of the hub when you pressed it in?

Do you keep pushing the hub in to the bearing until it buttoms out? When it` starts meeting resistance you gotta stop right?

You could literally cut a window in a normal deep socket for that special tool. And then you didn't even use it 🤣
