This guy has really taught me SOOO much. I watch his videos all the time while trying to restore my 72 beetle. Very informative!

Is fluid going to come out? YES. I can relate! Different car, same situation. Always be ready!

Excellent! Thank you. I was messing with mine today and figured it could be the switch. Thanks for pulling the wires up and explaining how the power tracking works.

Just got a 69 Bug last month, and reverse lights are the only ones that don't work... the wire was cut in the engine bay and tucked behind the tar board. So I need to get a fuse holder and wire it back up and hope it's still connected to the switch and working. If not I need to replace the switch.

I got a VW1600 based trike. It has no reverse, and so I was hoping to find how the hell a reverse light can be sorted for it. Obviously, looking for a switch on and off for a few years.. ( No, its not that important to me, plus I am disabled and can opnly work on it from time to time ). But this is shoing me that its on the right side, but that engine is roten as hell and I cannot make out exactly where the switch is. What I have seen is that where this one does look like it is... is simply nothing there! There was never a reverse light on this trike and so there is no wires to try following, so I am wondering if it somehow located in a different place? Ah well, looks like Im going to have to get a Workshop manual.
