@@VintageOverlandAdventures Could I suggest a trip to Cerro Gordo and visit Brent, Ghost Town Living. That would boost your subs.
@VintageOverlandAdventures2 жыл бұрын
@@MrMbone I'll push it a little more. I don't like too but I will. Cerro Gordo sounds like fun, Brent has came a long way on his ghost town.

Good day Larry. Another great take on your channels theme! We love old ghost towns too. As a family, we checked out a number of ghost towns in B.C. I would watch a program called " Ghost Towns & Gold Trails" to get history & the who's who of a given town we were going to visit. The kids would watch as well, then on the way there, the history questions would come up & the first one with the correct answer would get a loonie ( Canadian dollar coin). Your channel is one more reason why we ditched cable tv 14 years ago! Keep up the good work. P.S. you can look up that show I mentioned if you're interested, it was a well done program.

Barry, Bonnie Good Morning! Glad you liked it! The rich history of Ballarat struck me a different way then any other place I've been and the video turned out different than anything I've done prier. I was sure if folks would like it?/ I did! :o) I love history or any forgotten place. I pick a place and map it on my gaia GPS maps and go! I let the adventure roll out as I go along for the ride. Ghost Towns & Gold Trails sound like a great program. Barry did you ever win a loonie?? LoL I will look up GT>!

@@VintageOverlandAdventures Larry, I'm the dad, I don't get to keep the loonies or the toonies. For that matter I don't often get to keep the fives, tens or twenty's, seldom do I see larger bills. I'm not complaining, God is good, & I am content. Still trying to keep an eye out for a reasonable priced project split bus or at least an early bay window. If I find something, I'll let you know. 🔧🪛⚙😃

Love it! I went to Trona for science class long ago. It was the armpit of CA. lol. Were those fighter jets from China Lake in the sky?
@VintageOverlandAdventures2 жыл бұрын
Hey Kevin glad you like it! I really like Trona, That place is amazing. Can't wait the go back to Searles Valley. As for the Jets. I would be guessing to say, yes they're from China Lake.

Love your videos. What shocks are you running on your bus? Do you need to let the air out on your tires to make it ride better over the washboard roads? Cheers,,,
@VintageOverlandAdventures2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Erick! KYB Gr2 for the shocks and air down to 24 rears & 27 Fronts.

Cool video. I'm planning to go camping (stargazing) in Panamint Valley north of Ballarat 4 miles along Indian Ranch Rd. Do you think a compact rental like a Corolla is adequate or should I get an SUV? I figure if your bus can make it then the Corolla is good?
@VintageOverlandAdventures Жыл бұрын
Hello 👋 Thanks for watching! When I was on Indian Ranch Rd. It was a 35 mph dirt road, zero obstacles. The late summer monsoon & the resent rains may of changed that. Check out “BallaratGhosttown” on instagram. Hope this helps! 🙂
