VW Bus Electric Conversion Walkthrough Part 1

This video is our walkthrough of how we'll renovate our 1973 Volkswagon (VW) bus and do an electric conversion. We'll explain how and why we are going to use Tesla batteries. But first, we'll do a body, interior, and exterior cleanup. We'll wash the car, remove the interior trim panels, seatbelts, seats, rubber floor, and windows. We'll prep the exterior for primer by sanding the roof and exterior of the bus. We'll remove small dents and do body filler. We will also show how to fill rust holes with the solder method. We'll paint the bus, put the logo on the front and so convert it to electric! Stay tuned to see the VW bus conversion and renovation process.

I'm in and subbed! I have a 76 Westfalia that I want to covert while retaining the shifter/gearbox setup. EV West has a kit that should work for that, really excited to see how yours comes out!

Do you know that having the tire on the front gives you a 30% better chance in an accident. A lot of the dents could be pushed out from the other side.
