Hey Mike ! Rambus is a 71 it has ball joints I only had to do it 9 times so far and that's sets . When 1 goes bad replace them all .

OH yea on the bus you NEED do do all the ball joints because when one is bad any of the others can separate. Unlike link pins nothing will actually fall apart they just get loose.

yea it was really hard on mine. The shaft was almost welded in there. bent the first puller stripped out 3 grade 8 all thread 1/2 inch before it finally came apart. then about 2 to 3 hours with a brake hone reaming out the bushings. also had to dress up the area for the shaft to go back together. Then you really need to eye up the new parts to make sure they are perfectly straight or it wont go back in the bus. 2 special tools from VW to do the job. I did it with none.

Hey Mike!! Was wondering if you need to ream the link pin hole that the race goes in. I pressed the kingpins out and got them back together great but having trouble slidi ng the races in for link pins. I even froze them but no luck? Do I just need to press them in ?!
