I drove my first bus that I got when I was 16 from La to Canada up the coast and back for 3 months of in 1981 the best time of my life!! 39 years later I’m still rolling a bus still meeting the same type of people and the stories seem to be the same,maybe some day we will cross the same journey.

Wow now this something to put on my bucket list ride with you guys when i get my bus done. Love the support you give each other positive look at life , vw issues. This is very motivating for me helping me at 64 health issues must work through pain when in the garage working on my bus VW life is -like seeing light at the end of the tunnel..How all the work will ay off when I can drive my bus. Great. People from around the world bring their vanagons and bay's up here, I've met a bunch. British Columbia and the Yukon are stunning, too. Pretty good support network along the way. Check out Van Alert App if you haven't...I think they're outta Texas, too. I'm registered as the vw guy in Tok, AK. If you guys ever reach critical mass, you're welcome to contact me and I'll help out with in-state logistics in any way I can. Alaskan folks are cool anywhere you go. It'll be one of those adventures of a lifetime for sure. I drove up the Alcan 37 years ago and been here ever since. Yup, plum crazy.

VW Life I added a $200 diesel heater from amazon, I can swap it to either of my 3 Beetles in 5 min, haven’t set it up for the double cab or the bay window yet but wow so they ever work.

I bought a Winnebago View in Albuquerque some years ag and followed the Rio Grande down to Brownsville. I have never been hassled so much in all my travels. Never will I go near there again I’ve had a Splitty(72-75) and. bay window and always loved the way they drove. Never understood VWs leaving them so undepowered
