VW Golf 16V Syncro first start

The project my main focus is on right now.
I bought a 95 Golf 1.8 Syncro and threw a 16V 2.0 (ABF) engine in.
So far I did the engine conversion and some electronics.
The Golf came with a Climatronic while the donor car the engine came from only had a manual A/C.
Modified the engine harness to work with the Climatronic, changed the 8V cluster for the 16V (different RPM, scale), added the wiring for the board computer and made the immobiliser work with the ABF's ecu.
Next step will be the brake conversion (4 lug to 5 lug VR6) and a completely custom built exhaust, starting with a custom built exhaust manifold.

i have the same problem With my mk2 abf swap right now:( I have bought an ecu With the immo removed...still i have some problem... easy way to check if the ecu has been fixed?

+Chris Napstad Syncro gearbox from the original 1.8l 8V. Can't say how it performs with the 16V engine yet as we're still building the header and the exhaust. Might be a little short.

Did you know that the 2.0 8v agg's (I think) CHE or CNE gearbox fits to the ABF engine?
