I have a 2009 volkswagen jetta and can't shift into reverse or third gear was glad to see the gear shifter connector bracket does move back and forth mine was locked in place. Great video for my peice of mind.

​@@FDerichsmoin schönen 1 Advent noch ja ich hatte Probleme beim 1sten gsng einlegen kalt wie warm und im allgemeinen liess sich der skoda 6gang schalter mit Wiederstand schalten.habe es mittlerweile besser optiemiert..besser als vorher serie..habe die komplette schaltumlenkung erneuert und die schaltmuffen wo die federn verbaut sind die Zwischenräume ausgefüllt mit sikaflex trocknen lassen 1 woche im sommer eingebaut am samstag und siehe da wie ab werk ...als wäre es getunt geil...Bis jezt bestens mal abgesehen von den motorlagern das die wieder neu müssten umbau

Troubleshooting my VW Mk4 results: the alignment through an allen key nor screw didn't work. Much trial and error troubleshooting later I realised that I consistently got only R-1-2-3-(50/50 4) through alignment so something was off. Slammed toolbox weight on the side of the gear knob on N alignment enough to lean it to the right and lost more gears; did the same to the left and found all gears in correct position. The rest was as advertised.

Whenever you can't choose the selected gear, like when you put first gear and it comes third, cannot select first, or whenever you select third and it comes fifth,

My golf V has a noisy and clunky gear shifter. Shifting into 5th with engine off is very rough, I apply quite a lot of force. I did the gear linkage grease on the pins, and greased the ball bearing at the bottom of the gear selector knob (didn't take it out but put grease from above and try to move to get it in there) but its still not as smooth. Help ?

Who knows. I just know my Golf V is difficult putting in to reverse without fucking grinding, and sometimes doesnt go in to 1st or reverse fully. Really bad for forks, but I am fixing to change transmission fluid, im sure that will help. Also will home the shifting linkage like here, but its fking annoying.

Ciao mi chiamo Franco, ho un problema alla macchina: E una Skoda Octavia wagon 1.6 tdi 90 cv del 2017,lo comprata nuova. Con 4 anni di garanzia,adesso mi rimane circa un'anno e un mese di garanzia. Dopo i primi km notavo che il cambio aveva qualche impuntamento,nella prima e nella retromarcia. Lo fatto presente a ghi mela venduta un concessionario ufficiale skoda. mi avevano detto che era nuova e che gli dovevo fare ancora un po di km sopra.li ho fatti i km ,e passato circa un anno e mezzo,adesso ho quasi 27000 km e il problema ancora ce.A marzo siccome volevo fare controllare la macchina per altre cose. Gli ho fatto presente il problema delle marce di qui ho citato all'inizio. Pero e un'altra officina ufficiale dove lo portata.Gli ho lasciato la macchina per controllare il tutto.Quando sono andato a ritirare la macchina, ha incominciato a dirmi che l'anno provata e che era tutto a posto,con le marce non c'era niente da registrare e andavano bene cosi. Secondo me non e cosi: Cioè mi fermo al semaforo metto in folle e lascio la frizione. Quando devo ripartire schiaccio la frizione per mettere la prima e mi va un po dura nel metterla.Stessa cosa la retromarcia,il capo officina mi ha detto che le auto del gruppo VW,Audi,Seat e Skoda sono tutte cosi le auto tedesche.Sono un appassionato di auto da anni e mi faccio quasi tutte le manutenzioni ordinarie e qualche straordinarie da me perche mi piace veramente.Ti chiedo, tu sicuramente avrai cambiato e registrato le corde del cambio di quel motore,tanto sicuramente avranno tutte +- lo stesso sistema.Secondo te registrando i cavi sotto la scatola filtro aria e sotto la leva cambio come hai fatto tu nei tuoi video potrei risolvere ho faccio peggio?Ti chiedo scusa se o scritto tantissimo.Grazìe e buon pomeriggio.
