VW Golf 7 Apple Carplay & Android Auto Installation | Retrofit (How To)

Wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto installation in a 2013 Volkswagen Golf mk 7 with the MIB system. This is a complete retrofit with all functioning hardware such as the touchscreen and headunit. This system is built in the MIB 5,8 inch screen from the Golf 7.
The time were a radio and bluetooth connection are of the past, now that almost every new car is equipped with Apple Carplay and Android Auto. These systems work a bit similar to Google Chromecast since the screen doesn't do any processing, instead it all happens on the phone. With an Apple Carplay or Android Auto module you are able to use a lot of popular apps within your cars mediascreen, such as Google Maps, Waze, Apple Maps, Spotify, Whatsapp and other apps.

Hi just some advice from a few videos I’ve seen, on the normal infotainment screen (before you switch to the CarPlay) go to media and go onto Aux and then switch to the CarPlay screen 🙂

Geinstalleerd maar het scherm formaat is te groot voor mij scherm hierdoor zie ik alleen linksboven gedeelte wat moet ik doen?

Dipswitch fout for sure! Check die nog ff of ze goed staan. Je hebt blijkbaar een te klein scherm geselecteerd in de dipswitch settings

Tis inderdaad echt heel lastig, de laatste stap! Je moet de headunit kabel omhoog houden door hetzijpaneel… zo lukte het ons..

Bij hun kost het kastje 349, alixpress 150 euro. Blijkbaar zit het verschil in de logo die ze later erop plakken 😂😂
