Worked great on my 2017 mk7 gti. I used a "posi-tap" to tap into wire #16 and brown ground wire #5. I did not have to code my car and they came on with the illuminated door entrance sill plates. I didn't unplug any of the other door connectors or even the door handle. Just put a kid stool under the door panel to prop it on lol.

@@TheSeapoop on my 2017 with illuminated door sills the wire was purple with a green stripe. To be sure I suggest removing at least the 1st side door module connector you work on the determine what color wires your car uses. If you don't have illuminated sill entrance plates you probably won't have a wire in spot 16 of the connector.

But the sills on the door pannel are always on as it is seen by car as ambient lightning. So the exit light is also always on??

Is there a way to avoid tapping into a spliced OEM cable? Possibly a connector instead so I can revert back to OEM without having to repair cables in future?

@@Dxrect no man. u have to cut the rear door cables for this job (for the electicity). and lihgts will be open all the times for this type building. because of this, i didnt do it.

Hello. I have a Golf 5 from 2003. On the front doors my windows regulator motors doesn't have the pins installed. On the driver side with part number 1K0959793C, only have the 19 pin. On passenger side with part number 1K0959792C, the 18 and 19 pin is not available. Is there other way to install the door warning lights without these pins?

Ano. Ale vtej dverovej jednotke ktorá ja na videu chýba na to pin ktorý je na to určený. Takže ak nemá auto správnu dverovu jednotku je treba natiahnut kabel do zrkadla z centralnej elektriky
