What's that box next to the hood cable called under the plenum? I'm having tcm troubles and I think ita coming from the connectors under there but idk what it's called

It houses electrical connectors. It's water tight, but over time that seal will deteriorate and water can seep past it. If you have water on the driver's side floor, then that could be the problem.

Hey Cory, great video! You mention you resealed the cabin air filter box, Is there a video you made of that process? I can see there is a foam seal, and a weather seal, did you just remove the old weather seal and reseal it with Silicone as well?

Thank you! Unfortunately, I didn't create a video of that repair process. I did just what you said though. Remove the old seal and reseal it with silicone. I did that about 8 years ago now and it hasn't leaked since.

I did this but instead of openning the box I just put silicone around it, would you think it will hold ? Didn't want to pull that thing out because it's a 1998 car probably cleaned for the first time and I was digging dirt from the inside. It took me 4 hours to clean it lol.

Did it stop the leak, also my golf 4, I think leaks from the air cabin filter, any clues on how to fix that!!!!!!

Yes, it did stop the leak and hasn't leaked since. I did have the same leak that you have and I fixed that one as well. You need to remove the cabin air filter box and clean the area up really good, then use the silicone to seal it up when reinstalling. Unfortunately, I didn't create a video on that one.

Oh no. Water leaks are the worst because it's tough to pinpoint where it's coming from. Try to position yourself to look up under the dash. Where is the water pooling at?

Its very weird bc its only wet in the middle of the carpet . I dont know how it gets wet only at that area .

Water leaks are a nuisance. Check the seal for any cracks. Water can seep into the smallest places.

Boot leaks can be a leaking rear washer fluid pipe in my experience

@@BigRustyJoe that happened in my first car because I did the wiper delete but forgot too seal the fluid pipe 😂😂
