VW Golf mk4 TDI ALH valve cover removal and install

In this video, I show how to remove and replace the valve cover on my 2001 Volkswagen Golf TDI. I had an oil leak from the valve cover gasket area because the gasket was simply worn out. Hopefully you are able to remove the valve cover bolts easily. That was the hardest part of this process since I had issues removing a couple of them. You might have to remove the EGR valve to gain better access to one of the bolts. The 5mm long ball end hex bit socket is a must! I hope that everything goes well for you if you decide to replace your valve cover. Good luck!

Thanks for this this is my next job same problem I have a leak ... My cam cover have been off in the past because I've had 150 headbolts fitted so hopefully it will come off ok . I also have the 150 intake ready to go on. Where can I buy the full cam cover and gasket already fitted ??

Hello Bro,i have a problem in my car golf 4 110 tdi ALH , when engine hot it make a big to restart but morning time when cold normal start ,one technician advised me to cut to cut blue wire connected to temperature sensor (04 wire) now its ok but i know its not the best way .i am waiting for your positive reply .thanks sir

Based on what you tell me, I would think that your temperature sensor is bad. I would replace that for sure. I would advise against cutting any wires to bypass anything.
