Have the same problem with ticking lifters , replaced the cam bridge as the check valve had destroyed itself but lifters still ticking so now will head towards this non return valve in the head, cheers helpful

Tools needed to disassemble timing and cylinder head? I have triple squares and torx bits on my list. Aswell as a timing chain crank tool kit. Plan was to replace cambridge and vvt solenoid, if that doesnt work i wanted to disassemble head. Just to be clear though i dont have any experience but will keep a manual on me.

Hello friend first i thought there was a low pressure on oil pump, but i discovered then there was a damage on non return oil valve on cylinder head

Hello there is one valve only. The other one was the faulty valve.

Hello friend First you should make an oil pressure test and see if the oil goes up to cylinder head. In my car there was a damaged non return valve on cylinder head.

@@hamadakhmechanic6526 I thought the ticking went away when intake cam VVTi was replaced. So, what was the problem with low oil pressure? Was it at startup or when engine gets warm engine gets low oil light?

The ticking sound because of the non return valve on cylinder head.

The non return should hold a specific amount (can't remember)of psi for 1 minute. I ripped my motor apart right after rebuilding it because of low oil pressure issues. I went through co.pletely everything. Eventually I took all the micron screens out except on the oil pump and vacuum pump. I still have noisy lifters. I even completely cleaned them using a small Allen wrench and pumping them in diesel. It's just how this engine is. I'm pretty sure what's solved the oil pressure issue with my caeb engine was the removal of the balance shaft screens (yes I put them back in, it's a crock of shit to say to replace them if you pull em out, just don't ruin the bearings pulling them out) and I also found a stronger spring for the little ball bearing in the oil pump. You have to take the pump apart to access that little ball bearing and swap for a stronger spring. The spring was the only difference I could find from the old oil pumps and the new "revised" oil pumps 🙄

Sensor changed Oil pump changed No blockage we checked when we open sump All wiring loom Is checked . 3 Oil changed But Oil pressure light is still there . When I start In morning .I have that rattle noise and no oil pressure error on dashboard. When car heats up to normal temperature then if I drive 30 or 40mph local .light come up every few minutes. On motorway no light at all after 60 pr 70mph no light. No loss of power car drives as normal. After temperature goes normal no rattle noise. No restrictions of rpm . Car never heats up. Nobody in my city want to fix car like you do.they says change engine problem solve . Where you think we need to look for this problem to solve .any suggestions

Did you check the oil pressure with test gauge, maybe there is damage on crankshaft bearings. You can also check the oil filter if it fit to your engine.

@@hamadakhmechanic6526 i have the same problem with my 1.8tsi. In cold start is 2.9 bar, next in 65°C 2.1bar, in 2000 is 3.1 bar , if engine is hot 90°C i have 1.3bar. What do you think? Is this the same problem which you have?
