I wish they would just get on with it and launch it. I'd buy the larger battery model as long as it doesnt add too much to price. Looks great and fixes lots of the ID3 issues. Please let them give us adjustable Regen braking so that one pedal driving becomes realistic (most people say ID3 doesnt do that)

i hope the ID.2 comes to the USA. Millennials desperately need an affordable electric option i don’t mind hard plastics in affordable cars-upholstery on the dash with fade and peel off with age. Just give me durable plastic

In 2026, only one year after the VW ID.2 goes on sale, the current Peugeot e-208, based on the 2nd generation of the ICE 208, will be replaced by an all-electric new version based on Stellantis' STLA-small platform. Peugeot will at the same time produce a 208 III which will only be a "reskin" of the 208 II with the same wheel base (platform CMP) which will be ICE-only and will last until 2030. Therefore, after just a year the VW ID.2 will mostly compete with the future all-new e-208 (STLA-medium) rather than the current one shown in the video.

Is the 440 litre boot, the above the boot floor space only, or does it also include the underfloor space that has space for 2 crates of beer?

It’s 440L plus the 50L space under the boot floor. So total 490L.
