Again, a good video. Very informative! Danke! Hardcore ev drivers fast charge from 5% to 50% (if 50% is enough to get to the next fast charger...) I have no patience to charge to 80% when speed of charge is so much smaller than by 5-50% soc.

assuming the next charger isn't occupied, then you are stranded if there's no space next to it so you can take the charger at 100%, or put in a queue... happened to me several times. thankfully my i3S can be charged to 90% before i need to leave.

Thanks for this test. It looks to me like the 3.0 charging curve is probably the same as for 58kwh cars built with 2.3. I've only had 118kw in mine but I had plugged in at 11% and it also crossed the 100kw line at 29% SoC, like those in your test. I have never plugged in at very low SoC so far (

We ordered the ID4 AWD Pro S online in September 2021 last year but it still hasn't left the factory. The longer the delay the more features the car will get! Trying to look on the bright side! My iD 3 Pro Performance is 11 months old. Is there any reason the charge rate might be restricted? Same experience elsewhere on a 125kW charger.

@@BatteryLife Its a real shame that. Kia/Hyundai are releasing an update at some point to get their car to pre-condition the battery for charging! It seems like something from years ago to take the first part of the charge to warm the battery before you get the best charge level. I could just imagine turning up to the single motorway charger here in the UK - after accelerating/regenning for a few miles to heat up the battery, to find there's a wait to use the charger with a cooling battery!
