Thank you so much for this. It provides a great overview of how the adaptive cruise control works.

Works great for stop/go traffic. Use it all the time on commute (Rural and highway mostly but some town also). The adaptive lane keep works surprisingly well with road curves etc.

Thank for the video! It can be intimidating to start using a feature like mid-drive and trust it to do the right thing. This is reassuring!

Yeah it takes some getting use to

Thanks for all the very interesting videos. Have watch the vast majority of them and have subscribed. We are seriously considering one of these.

Nice demo. ACC in traffic seems to require more attention than driving yourself. Driving yourself of course requires you to accelerate and brake with the traffic flow. Pretty straight forward. ACC seems to require you to be ON THE ALERT at all times because it may not do what it needs to and have you compensate. Also, the acceleration and braking seems more abrupt than what one would do if driving manually. I like to smooth drive…calm starts, early braking. ACC seems to be counter to that style of driving. 8:30

Fun watching your informative videos! My 2023 AWD Pro S actually does accelerate from a complete stop without tapping the accelerator. There’s a message that the ACC is being enabled and it resumes. Perhaps this is something with the latest update.

In Germany there are two different systems available. The ACC that simply holds your distance and stops, or the so called travel assist that is also capable to stop and afterwards regains the ACC set speed ( no need to tap resume or pressing the pedal ).

TA will auto steer with lane keep as well, right? It is the same in the US.

@@EVTipsAndTricks It will also read speed limits and adjust the speed accordingly. It also slow down for roundabouts and hard turns.

Excellent video! I've always wondered how it works. One question.. normal cruise control in a car will deactivate if you hit the brake... does this work the same way? I think it would be nice if it didn't de-activate when hitting the brake and just works/helps out with normal driving.... is that how it works?

Yes it’ll turn off

Good eye. Yes I live around there and I thought Mass Ave is a good test road on a non busy day.

It appears to me that the technology doesn't improve driving but it requires additional and unnecessary adjustments. It's not as simple as eye and foot coordination.

You have a fair point. I enjoy driving, used to have a sports coupe with stick shift! ACC and TA helps with long drives, at least for me.

Seems most useful for the highway.

Agree. I use it 90% of the way during some of our family long trips. Less tiring, but I still keep my hands on the steering wheel.

Tapping the accelerator after every stop sucks. Set it to EU style.
