Recently I've been getting 200 Kms from 40% charge in my id3 82 Kwh. 13.7 Kwh/100 kms, not high speed driving all 100 Km/hr or less. not heat/ac just the blower, it's been a bit milder lately and that helps a lot. Compare that to my old 2015 Leaf, I'd be lucky to get 150 Kms from 100% charge in warm weather and that was when new. The id.3 is 1.5 years old with 54,200 Kms.

Almost twice as expensive as a Tesla Model 3 (when comparing Germany 2023 price with tax credits and optioned out ID7) for what? MacPherson strut front suspension? LOL!

The ID.7 is bigger and more practical. Doesn't help that the Model 3 is cheaper if it doesn't fit your needs. One could as well argue: a Model S is much more expensive than an ID.7 - for what?

@@EinzigfreierName Sure, but most people will not pay 20-30k€ more for that. Some, of course, will. Maybe that is why VW made it like it is. It is hardly competing with the same cars as Passat was. The Model 3 definitely competes with it (and the Passats) though.

@@rkan2 I think there is a big market for a car like this, even at this prize. Most of them will not be bought by private customers but leased as company cars. I don't know for other countries but at least over here in Germany, 2/3 of all new cars are actually company cars.

@@rkan2 I would never buy a model 3, because it doesn’t fit my family in terms of space and room for luggage. I drive an estate, so the impractical size of the trunk in a model 3 makes it not interesting to me. I would compare this id7 to a model y instead for size and space utility if I were to switch car.
