Hi. I have a Volkswagen cc and the trunk will not open. I don’t have to button underneath to open. I have the part where the W opens it. What shall I do to fix this? Please help.

Flat the rear seats, get into the trunk from there, look up there is emergency opener in there

The inner button that opens the booth from inside on driver's door is not functioning. What could be the cause? But remote opens it.
