Dont buy Aftermarket one buy only OEM original vw part i had very bad experience with Aftermarket one ripped only 1year another split in 2 pieces before splitting half it leaked grease , after that i fitted original vw Part after 2 years its still fine and leakfree

Advice from attempt. Buy a CV joint remover tool rather than hammer off, less risk of damaging the CV joint and you may actually get it off!

Good vid. Can you tell me the size of the centre nut? Mine is 30mm so guessing up to 35mm. Is working off one axle stand cool? Seems okay.

PHIXER hi the red one had 30mm but don't be surprised if yours be different.

Certainly is, my 30mm doesn’t fit :( My local halfords goes up to 32mm and even that doesn’t fit.

PHIXER hi, check the nut you have 6 point or 12 point nut because the socket must be the same tape 6 or 12 points.

It is a 12 point spline and can confirm a 36mm socket is needed for Polo 9N3. I attempted to do today but was delayed by getting the CV joint off, taking to garage. Lord knows how you got yours off in a few taps.
